1 John 3:14-19

14We know that we have 1passed out of death into life, 2because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.

15Everyone who 3hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that 4no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

16We know love by this, that 5He laid down His life for us; and 6we ought to lay down our lives for the 7brethren.

17But 8whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and 9closes his 10heart 11against him, 12how does the love of God abide in him?

1813Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and 14truth.

19We will know by this that we are 15of the truth, and will 16assure our heart before Him
