1 John 2:4-7

4The one who says, “1I have come to 2know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a 3liar, and 4the truth is not in him; 5but whoever 5keeps His word, in him the 6love of God has truly been perfected. 7By this we know that we are in Him: 6the one who says he 8abides in Him 9ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

710Beloved, I am 11not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had 12from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard.
