1 Corinthians 1:13-17
131Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you 2baptized 3in the name of Paul? 144I thank God that I 5baptized none of you except 6Crispus and 7Gaius, 15so that no one would say you were baptized 8in my name. 16Now I did baptize also the 9household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any other. 1710For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, 11not in 12cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.
