1O Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,returnשׁ֚וּבָהShu.vahH7725unto the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy GodH430;for thou hast fallenכָשַׁ֖לְתָּkha.Shal.taH3782by thine iniquityבַּעֲוֹנֶֽךָ׃ba.'a.vo.Ne.khaH5771.

2Takeקְח֤וּke.ChuH3947with you wordsדְּבָרִ֔יםde.va.RimH1697,and turnH7725to the LordH3068:sayאִמְר֣וּ'im.RuH559unto him, Take awayתִּשָּׂ֤אti.Sa'H5375all iniquityH5771,and receiveוְקַח־ve.kach-H3947usgraciouslyט֔וֹבTovH2896:so will we renderוּֽנְשַׁלְּמָ֥הu.ne.sha.le.MahH7999the calvesפָרִ֖יםfa.RimH6499of our lipsשְׂפָתֵֽינוּ׃se.fa.Tei.nuH8193.

3Asshurאַשּׁ֣וּר׀'a.ShurH804shall not saveיוֹשִׁיעֵ֗נוּyo.shi.'E.nuH3467us; we will not rideנִרְכָּ֔בnir.KavH7392upon horsesסוּס֙susH5483:neither will we sayH559any more to the workלְמַעֲשֵׂ֣הle.ma.'a.SehH4639of our handsיָדֵ֑ינוּya.Dei.nuH3027, Ye areour godsאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430:for in thee the fatherlessיָתֽוֹם׃ya.TomH3490findeth mercyיְרֻחַ֥םye.ru.ChamH7355.

4I will healאֶרְפָּא֙'er.Pa'H7495their backslidingמְשׁ֣וּבָתָ֔םme.Shu.va.TamH4878,I will loveאֹהֲבֵ֖ם'o.ha.VemH157them freelyנְדָבָ֑הne.da.VahH5071:for mine angerאַפִּ֖י'a.PiH639is turned awayשָׁ֥בshavH7725from him.

5I will be as the dewכַטַּל֙kha.TalH2919unto Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לle.Yis.ra.'ElH3478:he shall growיִפְרַ֖חyif.RachH6524as the lilyכַּשּֽׁוֹשַׁנָּ֑הka.sho.sha.NahH7799,and cast forthוְיַ֥ךְve.YakhH5221his rootsשָׁרָשָׁ֖יוsha.ra.ShavH8328as Lebanonכַּלְּבָנֽוֹן׃ka.le.va.NonH3844.

6His branchesיֹֽנְקוֹתָ֔יוyo.ne.ko.TavH3127shall spreadH3212,and his beautyהוֹד֑וֹho.DoH1935shall be as the olive treeכַזַּ֖יִתkha.Za.yitH2132,and his smellוְרֵ֥יחַֽve.Rei.achH7381as LebanonH3844.

7They that dwellיֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427under his shadowבְצִלּ֔וֹve.tzi.LoH6738shall returnיָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ya.Shu.vuH7725;they shall reviveיְחַיּ֥וּye.chai.YuH2421asthe cornדָגָ֖ןda.GanH1715,and growוְיִפְרְח֣וּve.yif.re.ChuH6524as the vineכַגָּ֑פֶןkha.Ga.fenH1612:the scentזִכְר֖וֹzikh.RoH2143thereof shall beas the wineכְּיֵ֥יןke.YeinH3196of LebanonH3844.

8Ephraimאֶפְרַ֕יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669shall say,What have I to do any more with idolsלָֽעֲצַבִּ֑יםla.'a.tza.BimH6091?I have heardעָנִ֣יתִי'a.Ni.tiH6030him,and observedוַאֲשׁוּרֶ֗נּוּva.'a.shu.Re.nuH7789him: I amlike a greenרַֽעֲנָ֔ןra.'a.NanH7488fir treeכִּבְר֣וֹשׁkiv.Ro.oshH1265.From me is thy fruitפֶּרְיְךָ֥per.ye.KhaH6529foundנִמְצָֽא׃nim.Tza'H4672.

9Who iswiseחָכָם֙cha.KhamH2450,and he shall understandוְיָ֣בֵֽןve.Ya.venH995these things?prudentנָב֖וֹןna.VonH995,and he shall knowוְיֵֽדָעֵ֑םve.ye.da.'EmH3045them? for the waysדַּרְכֵ֣יdar.KheiH1870of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068arerightיְשָׁרִ֞יםye.sha.RimH3477,and the justוְצַדִּקִים֙ve.tza.di.KimH6662shall walkH3212in them: but the transgressorsוּפֹשְׁעִ֖יםu.fo.she.'ImH6586shall fallיִכָּ֥שְׁלוּyi.Ka.she.luH3782therein.
