4And he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto me, Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,goH3212,getבֹּא֙bo'H935thee unto the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֥ve.di.bar.TaH1696with my wordsבִדְבָרַ֖יvid.va.RaiH1697unto them.

5For thou artnot sentשָׁל֑וּחַsha.Lu.achH7971to a peopleעַ֨ם'amH5971of a strangeעִמְקֵ֥י'im.KeiH6012speechשָׂפָ֛הsa.FahH8193and of an hardוְכִבְדֵ֥יve.khiv.DeiH3515languageלָשׁ֖וֹןla.ShonH3956, butto the houseבֵּ֖יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478;

6Not to manyרַבִּ֗יםra.BimH7227peopleעַמִּ֣ים'a.MimH5971of a strangeעִמְקֵ֤י'im.KeiH6012speechשָׂפָה֙sa.FahH8193and of an hardוְכִבְדֵ֣יve.khiv.DeiH3515languageלָשׁ֔וֹןla.ShonH3956,whose wordsדִּבְרֵיהֶ֑םdiv.rei.HemH1697thou canst not understandתִשְׁמַ֖עtish.Ma'H8085.Surely, had I sentשְׁלַחְתִּ֔יךָshe.lach.Ti.khaH7971thee to them, they would have hearkenedיִשְׁמְע֥וּyish.me.'UH8085unto thee.

7But the houseוּבֵ֣יתu.VeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478willיֹאבוּ֙yo.VuH14not hearkenלִשְׁמֹ֣עַlish.Mo.a'H8085unto thee; for they willאֹבִ֖ים'o.VimH14not hearkenלִשְׁמֹ֣עַlish.Mo.a'H8085unto me: for all the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478areimpudentחִזְקֵי־ מֵ֥צַחchiz.kei- Me.tzachH4696 H2389and hardheartedוּקְשֵׁי־ לֵ֖בu.ke.shei- levH3820 H7186.

8Behold, I have madeנָתַ֧תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414thy faceפָּנֶ֛יךָpa.Nei.khaH6440strongחֲזָקִ֖יםcha.za.KimH2389againstלְעֻמַּ֣תle.'u.MatH5980their facesפְּנֵיהֶ֑םpe.nei.HemH6440,and thy foreheadמִצְחֲךָ֥mitz.cha.KhaH4696strongחָזָ֖קcha.ZakH2389againstלְעֻמַּ֥תle.'u.MatH5980their foreheadsמִצְחָֽם׃mitz.ChamH4696.

9As an adamantכְּשָׁמִ֛ירke.sha.MirH8068harderחָזָ֥קcha.ZakH2389than flintמִצֹּ֖רmi.TzorH6864have I madeנָתַ֣תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414thy foreheadמִצְחֶ֑ךָmitz.Che.khaH4696:fearתִירָ֤אti.Ra'H3372them not, neither be dismayedתֵחַ֣תte.ChatH2865at their looksמִפְּנֵיהֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.HemH6440, though they bea rebelliousמְרִ֖יme.RiH4805houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004.

10Moreover he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto me, Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֕ם'a.DamH120,all my wordsדְּבָרַי֙de.va.RaiH1697that I shall speakאֲדַבֵּ֣ר'a.da.BerH1696unto thee receiveקַ֥חkachH3947in thine heartבִּֽלְבָבְךָ֖bil.va.ve.KhaH3824,and hearשְׁמָֽע׃she.Ma'H8085with thine earsוּבְאָזְנֶ֥יךָu.ve.'a.ze.Nei.khaH241.

11And goH3212,getבֹּ֤אbo'H935thee to them of the captivityהַגּוֹלָה֙ha.go.LahH1473,unto the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of thy peopleעַמֶּ֔ךָ'a.Me.khaH5971,and speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֤ve.di.bar.TaH1696unto them, and tellוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559them, Thus saithאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהֹוִ֑הYah.wehH3069;whether they will hearיִשְׁמְע֖וּyish.me.'UH8085,or whether they will forbearיֶחְדָּֽלוּ׃yech.Da.luH2308.

12Then the spiritר֔וּחַRu.achH7307took me upוַתִּשָּׂאֵ֣נִיva.ti.sa.'E.niH5375,and I heardוָאֶשְׁמַ֣עva.'esh.Ma'H8085behindאַחֲרַ֔י'a.cha.RaiH310me a voiceק֖וֹלKolH6963of a greatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419rushingרַ֣עַשׁRa.'ashH7494, saying,Blessedבָּר֥וּךְba.RukhH1288bethe gloryכְּבוֹד־ke.Vod-H3519of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068from his placeמִמְּקוֹמֽוֹ׃mi.me.ko.MoH4725.

13I heardalso the noiseוְק֣וֹל׀ve.KolH6963of the wingsכַּנְפֵ֣יkan.FeiH3671of the living creaturesהַחַיּ֗וֹתha.chai.YotH2416that touchedמַשִּׁיקוֹת֙ma.shi.kOtH5401oneאִשָּׁ֣ה'i.ShahH802anotherאֲחוֹתָ֔הּ'a.cho.TahH269,and the noiseוְק֥וֹלve.KolH6963of the wheelsהָאוֹפַנִּ֖יםha.'o.fa.NimH212over againstלְעֻמָּתָ֑םle.'u.ma.TamH5980them, and a noiseוְק֖וֹלve.KolH6963of a greatגָּדֽוֹל׃ga.DolH1419rushingרַ֥עַשׁRa.'ashH7494.

14So the spiritוְר֥וּחַve.Ru.achH7307lifted me upנְשָׂאַ֖תְנִיne.sa.'At.niH5375,and took me awayוַתִּקָּחֵ֑נִיva.ti.ka.Che.niH3947,and I wentH3212in bitternessמַר֙marH4751,in the heatבַּחֲמַ֣תba.cha.MatH2534of my spiritרוּחִ֔יru.ChiH7307;but the handוְיַד־ve.yad-H3027of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068was strongחָזָֽקָה׃cha.Za.kahH2388upon me.
