2Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֑ם'a.DamH120,there were twoשְׁתַּ֣יִםshe.Ta.yimH8147womenנָשִׁ֔יםna.ShimH802,the daughtersבְּנ֥וֹתbe.NotH1323of oneאַחַ֖ת'a.ChatH259motherאֵם־'em-H517:

3And they committed whoredomsוַתִּזְנֶ֣ינָהva.tiz.Nei.nahH2181in Egyptבְמִצְרַ֔יִםve.mitz.Ra.yimH4714;they committed whoredomsזָנ֑וּza.NuH2181in their youthבִּנְעוּרֵיהֶ֖ןbin.'u.rei.HenH5271:there were their breastsשְׁדֵיהֶ֔ןshe.dei.HenH7699pressedמֹעֲכ֣וּmo.'a.KhuH4600,and there they bruisedעִשּׂ֔וּ'i.SuH6213the teatsדַּדֵּ֖יda.DeiH1717of their virginityבְּתוּלֵיהֶֽן׃be.tu.lei.HenH1331.

4And the namesוּשְׁמוֹתָ֗ןu.she.mo.TanH8034of them wereAholahאָהֳלָ֤ה'o.ho.LahH170the elderהַגְּדוֹלָה֙ha.ge.do.LahH1419,and Aholibahוְאָהֳלִיבָ֣הve.'o.ho.li.VahH172her sisterאֲחוֹתָ֔הּ'a.cho.TahH269:and they were mine, and they bareוַתֵּלַ֖דְנָהva.te.Lad.nahH3205sonsבָּנִ֣יםba.NimH1121and daughtersוּבָנ֑וֹתu.va.NotH1323. Thus weretheir namesוּשְׁמוֹתָ֕ןu.she.mo.TanH8034;Samariaשֹׁמְר֣וֹןsho.me.RonH8111isAholahאָהֳלָ֔ה'o.ho.LahH170,and Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389Aholibahאָהֳלִיבָֽה׃'o.ho.li.VahH172.

5And Aholahאָהֳלָ֖ה'o.ho.LahH170played the harlotוַתִּ֥זֶןva.Ti.zenH2181when she was mineתַּחְתָּ֑יtach.TaiH8478;and she dotedוַתַּעְגַּב֙va.ta'.GavH5689on her loversמְאַהֲבֶ֔יהָme.'a.ha.Vei.haH157,on the Assyriansאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804herneighboursקְרוֹבִֽים׃ke.ro.VimH7138,

6Which wereclothedלְבֻשֵׁ֤יle.vu.SheiH3847with blueתְכֵ֙לֶת֙te.Khe.letH8504,captainsפַּח֣וֹתpa.ChotH6346and rulersוּסְגָנִ֔יםu.se.ga.NimH5461,all of them desirableחֶ֖מֶדChe.medH2531young menבַּח֥וּרֵיba.Chu.reiH970,horsemenפָּרָשִׁ֕יםpa.ra.ShimH6571ridingרֹכְבֵ֖יro.khe.VeiH7392upon horsesסוּסִֽים׃su.SimH5483.

7Thus she committedוַתִּתֵּ֤ןva.ti.TenH5414her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֙יהָ֙taz.nu.Tei.haH8457with them, with all them that werethe chosenמִבְחַ֥רmiv.CharH4005menבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804,and with all on whom she dotedעָֽגְבָ֛ה'a.ge.VahH5689:with all their idolsגִּלּוּלֵיהֶ֖םgi.lu.lei.HemH1544she defiledנִטְמָֽאָה׃nit.Ma.'ahH2930herself.

8Neither leftעָזָ֔בָה'a.Za.vahH5800she her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֤יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457broughtfrom Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714:for in her youthבִנְעוּרֶ֔יהָvin.'u.Rei.haH5271they layשָׁכְב֣וּsha.khe.VuH7901with her, and they bruisedעִשּׂ֖וּ'i.SuH6213the breastsדַּדֵּ֣יda.DeiH1717of her virginityבְתוּלֶ֑יהָve.tu.Lei.haH1331,and pouredוַיִּשְׁפְּכ֥וּvai.yish.pe.KhuH8210their whoredomתַזְנוּתָ֖םtaz.nu.TamH8457upon her.

9Wherefore I have deliveredנְתַתִּ֖יהָne.ta.Ti.haH5414her into the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of her loversמְאַֽהֲבֶ֑יהָme.'a.ha.Vei.haH157,into the handבְּיַד֙be.YadH3027of the Assyriansבְּנֵ֣י אַשּׁ֔וּרbe.Nei 'a.ShurH804 H1121,upon whom she dotedעָגְבָ֖ה'a.ge.VahH5689.

10These discoveredגִּלּ֣וּgi.LuH1540her nakednessעֶרְוָתָהּ֒'er.va.TahH6172:they tookלָקָ֔חוּla.Ka.chuH3947her sonsבָּנֶ֤יהָba.Nei.haH1121and her daughtersוּבְנוֹתֶ֙יהָ֙u.ve.no.Tei.haH1323,and slewהָרָ֑גוּha.Ra.guH2026her with the swordבַּחֶ֣רֶבba.Che.revH2719:and she became famousשֵׁם֙shemH8034among womenלַנָּשִׁ֔יםla.na.ShimH802;for they had executedעָ֥שׂוּ'A.suH6213judgmentוּשְׁפוּטִ֖יםu.she.fu.TimH8196upon her.

11And when her sisterאֲחוֹתָ֣הּ'a.cho.TahH269Aholibahאָהֳלִיבָ֔ה'o.ho.li.VahH172sawוַתֵּ֙רֶא֙va.Te.re'H7200this,she was more corruptוַתַּשְׁחֵ֥תva.tash.ChetH7843in her inordinate loveעַגְבָתָ֖הּ'ag.va.TahH5691than she, and in her whoredomsתַּ֨זְנוּתֶ֔יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457more than her sisterאֲחוֹתָֽהּ׃'a.cho.TahH269in herwhoredomsמִזְּנוּנֵ֖יmi.ze.nu.NeiH2183.

18So she discoveredוַתְּגַל֙va.te.GalH1540her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֔יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457,and discoveredוַתְּגַ֖לva.te.GalH1540her nakednessעֶרְוָתָ֑הּ'er.va.TahH6172:then my mindנַפְשִׁי֙naf.ShiH5315was alienatedוַתֵּ֤קַעva.Te.ka'H3363from her, like as my mindנַפְשִׁ֖יnaf.ShiH5315was alienatedנָקְעָ֥הna.ke.'AhH5361from her sisterאֲחוֹתָֽהּ׃'a.cho.TahH269.

19Yet she multipliedוַתַּרְבֶּ֖הva.tar.BehH7235her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֑יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457,in calling to remembranceלִזְכֹּר֙liz.KorH2142the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117of her youthנְעוּרֶ֔יהָne.'u.Rei.haH5271,wherein she had played the harlotזָנְתָ֖הza.ne.TahH2181in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

20For she dotedוַֽתַּעְגְּבָ֔הva.ta'.ge.VahH5689upon their paramoursפִּֽלַגְשֵׁיהֶ֑םpi.lag.shei.HemH6370,whose fleshבְּשַׂר־be.sar-H1320is asthe fleshבְּשָׂרָ֔םbe.sa.RamH1320of assesחֲמוֹרִים֙cha.mo.RimH2543,and whose issueוְזִרְמַ֥תve.zir.MatH2231is likethe issueזִרְמָתָֽם׃zir.ma.TamH2231of horsesסוּסִ֖יםsu.SimH5483.
