15And when he was departedH3212thence, he lightedוַיִּמְצָ֣אvai.yim.Tza'H4672on Jehonadabיְהוֹנָדָב֩ye.ho.na.DavH3082the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָ֨בre.KhavH7394comingto meetH7125him: and he salutedוַֽיְבָרְכֵ֗הוּvay.va.re.Khe.huH1288him, and saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, IsH3426thine heartלְבָבְךָ֣le.va.ve.KhaH3824rightיָשָׁ֗רya.SharH3477,as my heartלְבָבִי֙le.va.ViH3824iswith thy heartלְבָבֶ֔ךָle.va.Ve.khaH3824?And Jehonadabיְהוֹנָדָ֥בye.ho.na.DavH3082answeredוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,It isH3426.If it be, giveתְּנָ֣הte.NahH5414methine handיָדֶ֑ךָya.De.khaH3027.And he gaveוַיִּתֵּ֣ןvai.yi.TenH5414himhis handיָד֔וֹya.DoH3027;and he took him upוַיַּעֲלֵ֥הוּvai.ya.'a.Le.huH5927to him into the chariotהַמֶּרְכָּבָֽה׃ha.mer.ka.VahH4818.

16And he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559,ComeH3212with me, and seeוּרְאֵ֖הu.re.'EhH7200my zealבְּקִנְאָתִ֣יbe.kin.'a.TiH7068for the Lordלַיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068.So they made him rideוַיַּרְכִּ֥בוּvai.yar.Ki.vuH7392in his chariotבְּרִכְבּֽוֹ׃be.rikh.BoH7393.

17And when he cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935to Samariaשֹֽׁמְר֔וֹןsho.me.RonH8111,he slewוַ֠יַּךְVai.yakhH5221all that remainedהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֧יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604unto Ahabלְאַחְאָ֛בle.'ach.'AvH256in Samariaבְּשֹׁמְר֖וֹןbe.sho.me.RonH8111,till he had destroyedהִשְׁמִיד֑וֹhish.mi.DoH8045him, according to the sayingכִּדְבַ֣רkid.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,which he spakeדִּבֶּ֖רdi.BerH1696to Elijahאֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃ פ'e.li.Ya.huH452.

18And Jehuיֵהוּא֙ye.Hu'H3058gatheredוַיִּקְבֹּ֤ץvai.yik.BotzH6908all the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971togetherH6908,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Ahabאַחְאָ֕ב'ach.'AvH256servedעָבַ֥ד'a.VadH5647Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168a littleמְעָ֑טme.'AtH4592; butJehuיֵה֖וּאye.Hu'H3058shall serveיַעַבְדֶ֥נּוּya.'av.De.nuH5647him muchהַרְבֵּֽה׃har.BehH7235.

19Now therefore callקִרְא֨וּkir.'UH7121unto me all the prophetsנְבִיאֵ֣יne.vi.'EiH5030of Baalהַבַּ֡עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,all his servantsעֹבְדָ֣יו'oe.DavH5647,and all his priestsכֹּהֲנָיו֩ko.ha.NavH3548;let noneאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376be wantingיִפָּקֵ֗דyi.pa.KedH6485:for I have a greatגָּד֥וֹלga.DolH1419sacrificeזֶ֨בַחZe.vachH2077to doto Baalלַבַּ֔עַלla.Ba.'alH1168;whosoever shall be wantingיִפָּקֵ֖דyi.pa.KedH6485,he shall not liveיִֽחְיֶ֑הyich.YehH2421.But Jehuוְיֵהוּא֙ve.ye.Hu'H3058didעָשָׂ֣ה'a.SahH6213itin subtiltyבְעָקְבָּ֔הve.'a.ke.BahH6122,to the intent that he might destroyהַאֲבִ֖ידha.'a.VidH6the worshippersעֹבְדֵ֥י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבָּֽעַל׃ha.Ba.'alH1168.

20And Jehuיֵה֗וּאye.Hu'H3058saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Proclaimקַדְּשׁ֧וּka.de.ShuH6942a solemn assemblyעֲצָרָ֛ה'a.tza.RahH6116for Baalלַבַּ֖עַלla.Ba.'alH1168.And they proclaimedוַיִּקְרָֽאוּ׃vai.yik.Ra.'uH7121it.

21And Jehuיֵהוּא֙ye.Hu'H3058sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971through all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478:and all the worshippersעֹבְדֵ֣י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935,so that there was not a manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376leftנִשְׁאַ֥רnish.'ArH7604that cameבָ֑אVa'H935not. And they cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168;and the houseבֵית־veit-H1004of Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168was fullוַיִּמָּלֵ֥אvai.yi.ma.Le'H4390from one endפֶּ֥הpehH6310to anotherלָפֶֽה׃la.PehH6310.

22And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him that wasover the vestryהַמֶּלְתָּחָ֔הha.mel.ta.ChahH4458,Bring forthהוֹצֵ֣אho.Tze'H3318vestmentsלְב֔וּשׁle.VushH3830for all the worshippersעֹבְדֵ֣י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבָּ֑עַלha.Ba.'alH1168.And he brought them forthוַיֹּצֵ֥אvai.yo.Tze'H3318vestmentsהַמַּלְבּֽוּשׁ׃ha.mal.BushH4403.

23And Jehuיֵה֛וּאye.Hu'H3058wentוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935,and Jehonadabוִיהוֹנָדָ֥בvi.ho.na.DavH3082the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָ֖בre.KhavH7394,into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baalהַבָּ֑עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,and saidוַיֹּ֜אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto the worshippersלְעֹבְדֵ֣יle.'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֗עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,Searchחַפְּשׂ֤וּcha.pe.SuH2664,and lookוּרְאוּ֙u.re.'UH7200that there beיֶשׁ־yesh-H3426here with you none of the servantsמֵעַבְדֵ֣יme.'av.DeiH5650of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,but the worshippersעֹבְדֵ֥י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168only.

24And when they went inוַיָּבֹ֕אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to offerלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213sacrificesזְבָחִ֣יםze.va.ChimH2077and burnt offeringsוְעֹל֑וֹתve.'o.LotH5930,Jehuוְיֵה֞וּאve.ye.Hu'H3058appointedשָׂם־som-H7760fourscoreשְׁמֹנִ֣יםshe.mo.NimH8084menאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376withoutבַחוּץ֙va.ChutzH2351,and saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Ifanyהָאִ֤ישׁha.'IshH376of the menהָאֲנָשִׁ֗יםha.'a.na.ShimH582whom I have broughtמֵבִ֣יאme.Vi'H935into your handsיְדֵיכֶ֔םye.dei.KhemH3027escapeיִמָּלֵט֙yi.ma.LetH4422, he that letteth him go,his lifeנַפְשׁ֖וֹnaf.ShoH5315shall befor the lifeנַפְשֽׁוֹ׃naf.ShoH5315of him.
