Context of Luke 9:40
38Suddenly a man from the crowd shouted out loudly, saying, “Teacher, I’m begging You to look at my son, for he’s my only child! 39You see, a spirit takes hold of him, and he immediately screams. It throws him into convulsions with frothing. It hardly ever leaves him—it’s crushing him! I begged Your disciples to drive it out, but they couldn’t.” 41Then answering, Yeshua said, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long shall I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.” 42And while the boy was still approaching Yeshua, the demon knocked him down to the ground and threw him into convulsions. But Yeshua rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and restored him to his father.
