Revised Version 1895
Judges 20:8-17
And allH3605 the peopleH5971 aroseH6965 as one manH376, sayingH559, WeH3605 will notH3808 anyH3605 of usH559 goH6965 to his tentH168, neitherH3808 will weH3605 anyH3605 of usH559 turnH5493 unto his houseH1004.
But nowH6258 this is the thingH1697 whichH834 weH834 will doH6213 to GibeahH1390; weH834 will go upH5921 againstH5921 it by lotH1486;
and weH834 will takeH3947 tenH6235 menH376 of an hundredH3967 throughoutH3605 allH3605 the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478, and an hundredH3967 of a thousandH505, and a thousandH505 outH3605 of tenH6235 thousandH505, to fetch victual for the peopleH5971, that they may doH6213, when they comeH935 to Gibeah of BenjaminH1144, accordingH376 to allH3605 the follyH5039 that they have wrought in IsraelH3478.
SoH259 allH3605 the menH376 of IsraelH3478 were gatheredH622 againstH413 the cityH5892, knit togetherH622 as one manH376.
And the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478 sentH7971 menH376 throughH3605 allH3605 the tribeH7626 of BenjaminH1144, sayingH559, WhatH4100 wickednessH7451 is this that is comeH1961 to passH1961 among youH834?
NowH6258 therefore deliverH5414 upH5414 the menH376, the sonsH1121 of Belial, whichH834 are in GibeahH1390, that weH834 may putH5414 them to deathH4191, and putH5414 awayH7451 evilH7451 from IsraelH3478. But BenjaminH1144 would notH3808 hearken to the voiceH6963 of their brethrenH251 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478.
And the childrenH1121 of BenjaminH1144 gatheredH622 themselvesH622 togetherH622 outH3318 of the citiesH5892 unto GibeahH1390, to goH3318 outH3318 to battleH4421 againstH5973 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478.
And the childrenH1121 of BenjaminH1144 were numberedH6485 on that dayH3117 outH3427 of the citiesH5892 twentyH6242 and sixH8337 thousandH505 menH376 that drewH8025 swordH2719, besidesH905 the inhabitantsH3427 of GibeahH1390, whichH1931 were numberedH6485 sevenH7651 hundredH3967 chosen menH376.
Among allH3605 this peopleH5971 there were sevenH7651 hundredH3967 chosen menH376 lefthanded; everyH3605 one couldH376 sling stonesH68 at an hair-breadth, and notH3808 missH2398.
And the menH376 of IsraelH3478, beside BenjaminH1144, were numberedH6485 fourH702 hundredH3967 thousandH505 menH376 that drewH8025 swordH2719: allH3605 theseH2088 were menH376 of warH4421.
