Judges 2:11-22
And the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 didH6213 that whichH5869 was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, and servedH5647 the Baalim:
and they forsook the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of their fathersH1, whichH834 broughtH3318 them outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and followedH310 otherH312 godsH430, of the godsH430 of the peoplesH5971 that were roundH5439 aboutH5439 them, and bowedH7812 themselvesH310 downH7812 unto them: and they provokedH3707 the LORDH3068 to angerH3707.
And they forsook the LORDH3068, and servedH5647 BaalH1168 and the AshtarothH6252.
And the angerH639 of the LORDH3068 was kindledH2734 againstH2734 IsraelH3478, and he deliveredH5414 them intoH3027 the handsH3027 of spoilers that spoiled them, and he soldH4376 them intoH3027 the handsH3027 of their enemiesH341 roundH5439 aboutH5439, soH5414 that they couldH3201 notH3808 anyH5750 longerH5750 standH5975 beforeH6440 their enemiesH341.
Whithersoever they wentH3318 outH3318, the handH3027 of the LORDH3068 was againstH1696 them for evilH7451, as the LORDH3068 had spokenH1696, and as the LORDH3068 had swornH7650 unto them: and they were sore distressed.
And the LORDH3068 raisedH6965 upH6965 judgesH8199, which savedH3467 them outH6965 of the handH3027 of thoseH3467 that spoiled them.
And yet they hearkened notH3808 unto their judgesH8199, for they wentH1980 a whoring afterH310 otherH312 godsH430, and bowedH7812 themselvesH310 downH7812 unto them: they turnedH5493 asideH5493 quicklyH4118 outH4480 of the wayH1870 whereinH834 their fathersH1 walkedH1980, obeyingH8085 the commandmentsH4687 of the LORDH3068; but they didH6213 notH3808 soH3651.
And when the LORDH3068 raisedH6965 them upH6965 judgesH8199, then the LORDH3068 was with the judgeH8199, and savedH3467 them outH6440 of the handH3027 of their enemiesH341 allH3605 the daysH3117 of the judgeH8199: for it repentedH5162 the LORDH3068 becauseH3588 of their groaningH5009 by reason of them that oppressedH3905 them and vexed them.
But it cameH1961 to passH1961, when the judgeH8199 was deadH4191, that they turnedH7725 backH7725, and dealt moreH3808 corruptlyH7843 thanH3808 their fathersH1, in followingH310 otherH312 godsH430 to serveH5647 them, and to bowH7812 downH7812 unto them; they ceased notH3808 from their doingsH4611, norH3808 from their stubbornH7186 wayH1870.
And the angerH639 of the LORDH3068 was kindledH2734 againstH2734 IsraelH3478; and he saidH559, BecauseH3282 this nationH1471 have transgressed my covenantH1285 whichH834 I commandedH6680 their fathersH1, and have notH3808 hearkened unto my voiceH6963;
I also will notH3808 henceforth driveH3423 outH4480 anyH4480 from beforeH6440 them of the nationsH1471 whichH834 JoshuaH3091 leftH5800 when he diedH4191:
that by them I may prove IsraelH3478, whetherH518 they will keepH8104 the wayH1870 of the LORDH3068 to walkH1870 therein, as their fathersH1 didH834 keepH8104 it, or notH3808.
