5had preparedוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a largeגְדוֹלָ֗הge.do.LahH1419roomלִשְׁכָּ֣הlish.KahH3957for him, whereוְשָׁ֣םve.ShamH8033formerlyלְפָנִ֟יםle.fa.NimH6440they putנֹ֠תְנִיםNo.te.nimH5414the grain offeringsהַמִּנְחָ֨הha.min.ChahH4503,the frankincenseהַלְּבוֹנָ֜הha.le.vo.NahH3828,the utensilsוְהַכֵּלִ֗יםve.ha.ke.LimH3627and the tithesוּמַעְשַׂ֤רu.ma'.SarH4643of grainהַדָּגָן֙ha.da.GanH1715,wineהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁha.ti.Ro.oshH8492and oilוְהַיִּצְהָ֔רve.hai.yitz.HarH3323prescribedמִצְוַת֙mitz.VatH4687for the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881,the singersוְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖יםve.ham.sho.re.RimH7891and the gatekeepersוְהַשֹּׁעֲרִ֑יםve.ha.sho.'a.RimH7778, and thecontributionsוּתְרוּמַ֖תu.te.ru.MatH8641for the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ha.ko.ha.NimH3548.

6But during allוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605thisזֶ֕הzehH2088timeI was not in Jerusalemבִּֽירוּשָׁלִָ֑םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389, for inthe thirty-secondשְׁלֹשִׁ֨ים וּשְׁתַּ֜יִםshe.lo.Shim u.she.Ta.yimH7970 H8147yearבִּשְׁנַת֩bish.NatH8141ofArtaxerxesלְאַרְתַּחְשַׁ֤סְתְּאle.'ar.tach.Shast'H783kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶל֙ba.VelH894I had goneבָּ֣אתִיBa.tiH935to the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428.Afterוּלְקֵ֥ץu.le.KetzH7093some timeיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117,however, I askedנִשְׁאַ֥לְתִּיnish.'Al.tiH7592leave from the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428,

7and I cameוָאָב֖וֹאva.'a.Vo'H935to Jerusalemלִֽירוּשָׁלִָ֑םli.ru.sha.LimH3389andlearnedוָאָבִ֣ינָהva.'a.Vi.nahH995about the evilH7463that Eliashibאֶלְיָשִׁיב֙'el.ya.ShivH475had doneעָשָׂ֤ה'a.SahH6213for Tobiahלְט֣וֹבִיָּ֔הle.Toi.YahH2900,by preparingלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213aroomנִשְׁכָּ֔הnish.KahH5393for him in the courtsבְּחַצְרֵ֖יbe.chatz.ReiH2691of the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ha.'E.lo.HimH430.

8It was veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966displeasingוַיֵּ֥רַֽעvai.Ye.ra'H7489to me, so Ithrewוָֽאַשְׁלִ֜יכָהva.'ash.Li.khahH7993allכָּל־kol-H3605of Tobiah’sטוֹבִיָּ֛הtoi.YahH2900householdבֵית־veit-H1004goodsכְּלֵ֧יke.LeiH3627out of the roomהַלִּשְׁכָּֽה׃ha.lish.KahH3957.

9Then I gaveH559an orderH559andthey cleansedוַֽיְטַהֲר֖וּvay.ta.ha.RuH2891the roomsהַלְּשָׁכ֑וֹתha.le.sha.KhotH3957;and I returnedוָאָשִׁ֣יבָהva.'a.Shi.vahH7725thereשָּׁ֗םShamH8033the utensilsכְּלֵי֙ke.LeiH3627of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430with the grain offeringsהַמִּנְחָ֖הha.min.ChahH4503and the frankincenseוְהַלְּבוֹנָֽה׃ פve.ha.le.vo.NahH3828.

10I alsodiscoveredוָאֵ֣דְעָ֔הva.'E.de.'AhH3045thatthe portionsמְנָי֥וֹתme.na.YotH4521of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֖םhal.vi.YimH3881had not been givenנִתָּ֑נָהni.Ta.nahH5414them,so that the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֥םhal.vi.YimH3881and the singersוְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖יםve.ham.sho.re.RimH7891who performedעֹשֵׂ֥י'o.SeiH6213the serviceהַמְּלָאכָֽה׃ha.me.la.KhahH4399hadgoneH1272awayH1272,eachאִישׁ־'ish-H376to his own fieldלְשָׂדֵ֛הוּle.sa.De.huH7704.

11So Ireprimandedוָאָרִ֙יבָה֙va.'a.Ri.vahH7378the officialsהַסְּגָנִ֔יםha.se.ga.NimH5461and saidוָאֹ֣מְרָ֔הva.'O.me.RahH559, “Whyמַדּ֖וּעַma.Du.a'H4069is the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430forsakenנֶעֱזַ֣בne.'e.ZavH5800?”Then I gatheredוָֽאֶ֨קְבְּצֵ֔םva.'Ek.be.TzemH6908them together and restoredוָֽאַעֲמִדֵ֖םva.'a.'a.mi.DemH5975them to their postsעָמְדָֽם׃'a.me.DamH5977.

12Allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063then broughtהֵבִ֜יאוּhe.Vi.'uH935the titheמַעְשַׂ֧רma'.SarH4643of the grainהַדָּגָ֛ןha.da.GanH1715,wineוְהַתִּיר֥וֹשׁve.ha.ti.Ro.oshH8492and oilוְהַיִּצְהָ֖רve.hai.yitz.HarH3323into the storehousesלָאוֹצָרֽוֹת׃la.'o.tza.RotH214.

13In chargeעַל־'al-H5921of the storehousesא֠וֹצָרוֹת'o.tza.rotH214I appointedוָאוֹצְרָ֣הva.'otz.RahH686Shelemiahשֶׁלֶמְיָ֨הshe.lem.YahH8018the priestהַכֹּהֵ֜ןha.ko.HenH3548,Zadokוְצָד֣וֹקve.tza.DokH6659the scribeH5613,and Pedaiahוּפְדָיָה֙u.fe.da.YahH6305of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881,and in additionוְעַל־ יָדָ֔םve.'al- ya.DamH5921 H3027to them was Hananחָנָ֥ןcha.NanH2605the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Zaccurזַכּ֖וּרza.KurH2139,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Mattaniahמַתַּנְיָ֑הma.tan.YahH4983; forthey were consideredנֶחְשָׁ֔בוּnech.Sha.vuH2803reliableנֶאֱמָנִים֙ne.'e.ma.NimH539, and it wastheir taskוַעֲלֵיהֶ֖םva.'a.lei.HemH5921to distributeלַחֲלֹ֥קla.cha.LokH2505to theirkinsmenלַאֲחֵיהֶֽם׃ פla.'a.chei.HemH251.
