Lamentations 4:18-20
18They 1hunted our steps So that we could not walk in our streets; Our 2end drew near, Our days were 3finished For our end had come.19Our pursuers were 4swifter Than the eagles of the sky; They chased us on the mountains, They waited in ambush for us in the wilderness.20The 5breath of our nostrils, the 6Lord’s anointed, Was 7captured in their pits, Of whom we had said, “Under his 8shadow We shall live among the nations.”
