Jeremiah 36:4-8
4Then Jeremiah called 1Baruch the son of Neriah, and Baruch wrote on a 23scroll 4at the dictation of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord which He had spoken to him. 5Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, “I am 56restricted; I cannot go into the house of the Lord. 6So you go and 7read from the scroll which you have 8written 9at my dictation the words of the Lord 10to the people in the Lord’s house on a 11fast day. And also you shall read them 12to all the people of Judah who come from their cities. 713Perhaps their supplication will 14come before the Lord, and everyone will turn from his evil way, for 15great is the anger and the wrath that the Lord has pronounced against this people.” 8Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, 16reading from the book the words of the Lord in the Lord’s house.
