Hosea 7:4-11

4They are 1all adulterers, Like an oven heated by the baker Who ceases to stir up the fire From the kneading of the dough until it is leavened.5On the 2day of our king, the princes 3became sick with the heat of wine; He stretched out his hand with 4scoffers,6For their hearts are like an 5oven As they approach their 6plotting; Their 7anger 8smolders all night, In the morning it burns like a flaming fire.7All of them are hot like an oven, And they consume their 9rulers; All their kings have fallen. 10None of them calls on Me.

8Ephraim 11mixes himself with the 12nations; Ephraim has become a cake not turned.913Strangers devour his strength, Yet he 14does not know it; Gray hairs also are sprinkled on him, Yet he does not know it.10Though the 15pride of Israel testifies against him, Yet 16they have not returned to the Lord their God, Nor have they sought Him, for all this.11So 17Ephraim has become like a silly dove, 18without 19sense; They call to 20Egypt, they go to 21Assyria.
