Ezekiel 40:28-47

28Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate; and he measured the south gate 1according to those same measurements. 29Its 2guardrooms also, its side pillars and its 3porches were according to those same measurements. And 4the gate and its porches had 5windows all around; it was 6fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. 30There were 7porches all around, twenty-five cubits long and five cubits wide. 31Its porches were toward the outer court; and 8palm tree ornaments were on its side pillars, and its stairway had eight 9steps.

32He brought me into the 10inner court toward the east. And he measured the gate 11according to those same measurements. 33Its 12guardrooms also, its side pillars and its porches were according to those same measurements. And 13the gate and its porches had 14windows all around; it was 15fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. 34Its 16porches were toward the outer court; and 17palm tree ornaments were on its side pillars, on each side, and its stairway had eight 18steps.

35Then he brought me to the 19north gate; and he measured it according to those same measurements, 36with its 20guardrooms, its side pillars and its 21porches. And 22the gate had 23windows all around; the length was 24fifty cubits and the width twenty-five cubits. 37Its side pillars were toward the outer court; and 25palm tree ornaments were on its side pillars on each side, and its stairway had eight 26steps.

38A 27chamber with its doorway was by the side pillars at the gates; there they 28rinse the burnt offering. 39In the porch of the gate were two 29tables on each side, on which to slaughter the 30burnt offering, the sin offering and the guilt offering. 40On the outer 31side, 32as one went up to the 33gateway toward the north, were two tables; and on the other 34side of the porch of the gate were two tables. 41Four 35tables were on each side 36next to the gate; or, eight tables on which they slaughter sacrifices. 42For the burnt offering there were four 37tables of 38hewn stone, a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide and one cubit high, on which they lay the instruments with which they slaughter the 39burnt offering and the sacrifice. 43The double 40hooks, one handbreadth in length, were installed 41in the house all around; and on the tables was the flesh of the offering.

44From the outside to the 42inner gate were 4344chambers for the 45singers in the inner court, one of which was at the 46side of the north gate, with 47its front toward the south, and one at the 48side of the 49south gate facing toward the north. 45He said to me, “This is the 50chamber which faces toward the south, intended for the priests who 51keep charge of the 52temple; 46but the 53chamber which faces toward the north is for the priests who 54keep charge of the altar. These are the 55sons of Zadok, who from the sons of Levi 56come near to the Lord to minister to Him.” 47He measured the court, a perfect square, a 57hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide; and the altar was in front of the 58temple.
