2 Samuel 8:12-18
12from 1Aram and 2Moab and 3the sons of Ammon and 4the Philistines and 5Amalek, and from the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13So 6David made a name for himself when he returned from 7killing 18,000 8Arameans in 9the Valley of Salt. 14He put garrisons in Edom. In all Edom he put garrisons, and 10all the Edomites became servants to David. And 11the Lord helped David wherever he went.
15So David reigned over all Israel; and David 12administered justice and righteousness for all his people. 1613Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army, and 14Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was 15recorder. 1716Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were 17priests, and Seraiah was 18secretary. 1819Benaiah the son of Jehoiada 20was over the 21Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were 2223chief ministers.
