New American Standard Bible 1995
1 John 3:4-8
4Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and 1sin is lawlessness.
5You know that He 2appeared in order to 3take away sins; and 4in Him there is no sin.
6No one who abides in Him 5sins; no one who sins has seen Him or 67knows Him.
78Little children, make sure no one 9deceives you; 10the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;
8the one who practices sin is 11of the devil; for the devil 12has sinned from the beginning. 13The Son of God 14appeared for this purpose, 15to destroy the works of the devil.
