1 John 2:2-6

2and He Himself is 1the 2propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also 3for those of the whole world.

34By this we know that we have come to 5know Him, if we 6keep His commandments. 4The one who says, “7I have come to 8know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a 9liar, and 10the truth is not in him; 5but whoever 11keeps His word, in him the 12love of God has truly been perfected. 13By this we know that we are in Him: 6the one who says he 14abides in Him 15ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
