1 Corinthians 2:3-16
3I was with you in 1weakness and in 2fear and in much trembling, 4and my 3message and my preaching were 4not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of 5the Spirit and of power, 5so that your faith would not 6rest on the wisdom of men, but on 7the power of God.
6Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are 8mature; a wisdom, however, not of 9this age nor of the rulers of 10this age, who are 11passing away; 7but we speak God’s wisdom in a 12mystery, the hidden wisdom which God 13predestined before the 14ages to our glory; 8the wisdom 15which none of the rulers of 16this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified 17the Lord of glory; 9but just as it is written, “18Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.” 101920For to us God revealed them 21through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the 22depths of God. 11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the 23spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12Now we 24have received, not the spirit of 25the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13which things we also speak, 26not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, 27combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
14But 28a 29natural man 30does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are 31foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually 32appraised. 15But he who is 33spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. 16For 34who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But 35we have the mind of Christ.
