2And Davidדָּוִ֗דda.VidH1732aroseוַיָּ֣קָם׀vai.Ya.komH6965,and wentH3212with all the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971that werewith him from Baale of JudahH1184,to bring upלְהַעֲל֣וֹתle.ha.'a.LotH5927from thence the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,whose nameשֵׁ֗םShemH8034is calledנִקְרָ֣אnik.Ra'H7121by the nameשֵׁ֣םshemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֛וֹתtze.va.'otH6635that dwellethיֹשֵׁ֥בyo.ShevH3427betweenthe cherubimsהַכְּרֻבִ֖יםha.ke.ru.VimH3742.

3And they setוַיַּרְכִּ֜בוּvai.yar.Ki.vuH7392the arkאֲר֤וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ha.'E.lo.HimH430upon a newחֲדָשָׁ֔הcha.da.ShahH2319cartעֲגָלָ֣ה'a.ga.LahH5699,and broughtוַיִּשָּׂאֻ֔הוּvai.yi.sa.'U.huH5375it out of the houseמִבֵּ֥יתmi.BeitH1004of Abinadabאֲבִינָדָ֖ב'a.vi.na.DavH41that wasin GibeahH1390:and Uzzahוְעֻזָּ֣אve.'u.Za'H5798and Ahioוְאַחְי֗וֹve.'ach.YoH283,the sonsבְּנֵי֙be.NeiH1121of Abinadabאֲבִ֣ינָדָ֔ב'a.Vi.na.DavH41,draveנֹהֲגִ֖יםno.ha.GimH5090the newחֲדָשָֽׁה׃cha.da.ShahH2319cartהָעֲגָלָ֥הha.'a.ga.LahH5699.

4And they broughtוַיִּשָּׂאֻ֗הוּvai.yi.sa.'U.huH5375it out of the houseמִבֵּ֤יתmi.BeitH1004of Abinadabאֲבִֽינָדָב֙'a.vi.na.DavH41which wasat GibeahH1390,accompanyingעִ֖ם'imH5973the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430:and Ahioוְאַחְי֕וֹve.'ach.YoH283wentהֹלֵ֖ךְho.LekhH1980beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the arkהָאָרֽוֹן׃ha.'a.RonH727.

5And Davidוְדָוִ֣ד׀ve.da.VidH1732and all the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478playedמְשַֽׂחֲקִים֙me.sa.cha.KimH7832beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068on all manner of instruments made offirבְרוֹשִׁ֑יםve.ro.ShimH1265woodעֲצֵ֣י'a.TzeiH6086,even on harpsוּבְכִנֹּר֤וֹתu.ve.khi.no.RotH3658,and on psalteriesוּבִנְבָלִים֙u.vin.va.LimH5035,and on timbrelsוּבְתֻפִּ֔יםu.ve.tu.PimH8596,and on cornetsוּבִמְנַֽעַנְעִ֖יםu.vim.na.'an.'ImH4517,and on cymbalsוּֽבְצֶלְצֶלִֽים׃U.ve.tzel.tze.LimH6767.

6And when they cameוַיָּבֹ֖אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Nachon’sנָכ֑וֹןna.KhonH5225threshingfloorגֹּ֣רֶןGo.renH1637,Uzzahעֻזָּ֜א'u.Za'H5798put forthוַיִּשְׁלַ֨חvai.yish.LachH7971his handto the arkאֲר֤וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ha.'E.lo.HimH430,and took holdוַיֹּ֣אחֶזvai.Yo.chezH270of it; for the oxenהַבָּקָֽר׃ha.ba.KarH1241shookשָׁמְט֖וּsha.me.TuH8058it.

7And the angerאַ֤ף'afH639of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068was kindledוַיִּֽחַר־vai.yi.char-H2734against Uzzahבְּעֻזָּ֔הbe.'u.ZahH5798;and Godהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430smoteוַיַּכֵּ֥הוּvai.ya.Ke.huH5221him there for hiserrorהַשַּׁ֑לha.ShalH7944;and there he diedוַיָּ֣מָתvai.Ya.motH4191by the arkאֲר֥וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ha.'E.lo.HimH430.

8And Davidלְדָוִ֔דle.da.VidH1732was displeasedוַיִּ֣חַרvai.Yi.charH2734,because the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had madeפָּרַ֧ץpa.RatzH6555a breachפֶּ֖רֶץPe.retzH6556upon Uzzahבְּעֻזָּ֑הbe.'u.ZahH5798:and he calledוַיִּקְרָ֞אvai.yik.Ra'H7121the name of the placeלַמָּק֤וֹםla.ma.KomH4725Perez–uzzahH6560to this dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

9And Davidדָוִ֛דda.VidH1732was afraidוַיִּרָ֥אvai.yi.Ra'H3372of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,and saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,How shall the arkאֲר֥וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068comeיָב֥וֹאya.Vo'H935to me?

10So Davidדָוִ֗דda.VidH1732wouldאָבָ֣ה'a.VahH14not removeלְהָסִ֥ירle.ha.SirH5493the arkאֲר֥וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068unto him into the cityעִ֣יר'irH5892of Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732:but Davidדָוִ֔דda.VidH1732carried it asideוַיַּטֵּ֣הוּvai.ya.Te.huH5186into the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Obed–edomH5654the Gittiteהַגִּתִּֽי׃ha.gi.TiH1663.

11And the arkאֲר֨וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068continuedוַיֵּשֶׁב֩vai.ye.ShevH3427in the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Obed–edomH5654the Gittiteהַגִּתִּ֖יha.gi.TiH1663threeשְׁלֹשָׁ֣הshe.lo.ShahH7969monthsחֳדָשִׁ֑יםcho.da.ShimH2320:and the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068blessedוַיְבָ֧רֶךְvay.Va.rekhH1288Obed–edomH5654,and all his householdבֵּיתֽוֹ׃bei.ToH1004.

12And it was toldוַיֻּגַּ֗דvai.yu.GadH5046kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428Davidדָּוִד֮da.VidH1732,sayingלֵאמֹר֒le.MorH559,The Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068hath blessedבֵּרַ֣ךְbe.RakhH1288the houseבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004of Obed–edomH5654, and all that pertainethunto him, because of the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430.So Davidדָּוִ֗דda.VidH1732wentH3212and brought upוַיַּעַל֩vai.ya.'AlH5927the arkאֲר֨וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֜יםha.'E.lo.HimH430from the houseמִבֵּ֨יתmi.BeitH1004of Obed–edomH5654into the cityעִ֥יר'irH5892of Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732with gladnessבְּשִׂמְחָֽה׃be.sim.ChahH8057.
