6And the kingהַמֶּ֤לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428and his menוַֽאֲנָשָׁיו֙va.'a.na.ShavH582wentH3212to Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389unto the Jebusitesהַיְבֻסִ֖יhay.vu.SiH2983,the inhabitantsיוֹשֵׁ֣בyo.ShevH3427of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776:which spakeוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Davidלְדָוִ֤דle.da.VidH1732,sayingלֵאמֹר֙le.MorH559,Except thou take awayהֱסִֽירְךָ֗he.si.re.KhaH5493the blindהַעִוְרִ֤יםha.'iv.RimH5787and the lameוְהַפִּסְחִים֙ve.ha.pis.ChimH6455,thou shalt not come inתָב֣וֹאta.Vo'H935hither: thinkingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Davidדָוִ֖דda.VidH1732cannot come inיָב֥וֹאya.Vo'H935hither.
8And Davidדָּוִ֜דda.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559on that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,Whosoever getteth upוְיִגַּ֣עve.yi.Ga'H5060to the gutterבַּצִּנּ֔וֹרba.tzi.NorH6794,and smitethמַכֵּ֤הma.KehH5221the Jebusitesיְבֻסִי֙ye.vu.SiH2983,and the lameהַפִּסְחִים֙ha.pis.ChimH6455and the blindהַ֣עִוְרִ֔יםha.'iv.RimH5787, that arehatedשְׂנֻאֵ֖יse.novH8130of David’sדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732soulנֶ֣פֶשׁNe.feshH5315, he shall be chief and captain.Wherefore they saidיֹֽאמְר֔וּyo.me.RuH559,The blindעִוֵּ֣ר'i.VerH5787and the lameוּפִסֵּ֔חַu.fi.Se.achH6455shall not comeיָב֖וֹאya.Vo'H935into the houseהַבָּֽיִת׃ha.Ba.yitH1004.
9So Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732dweltוַיֵּ֤שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427in the fortבַּמְּצֻדָ֔הba.me.tzu.DahH4686,and calledוַיִּקְרָא־vai.yik.ra'-H7121it the cityעִ֣יר'irH5892of Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732.And Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732builtוַיִּ֤בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129round aboutסָבִ֔יבsa.VivH5439from Milloהַמִּלּ֖וֹאha.mi.Lo'H4407and inwardוָבָֽיְתָה׃va.Va.ye.tahH1004.
11And Hiramחִירָ֨םchi.RamH2438kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Tyreצֹ֥רtzorH6865sentוַ֠יִּשְׁלַחVai.yish.lachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִים֮mal.'a.KhimH4397to Davidדָּוִד֒da.VidH1732,and cedarאֲרָזִ֔ים'a.ra.ZimH730treesH6086,and carpentersH2796,and masonsאֶ֣בֶן קִ֑יר'E.ven KirH68H7023:and they builtוַיִּבְנֽוּ־vai.yiv.nu-H1129Davidלְדָוִֽד׃le.da.VidH1732an houseבַ֖יִתVa.yitH1004.
12And Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732perceivedוַיֵּ֣דַעvai.Ye.da'H3045that the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had establishedהֱכִינ֧וֹhe.khi.NoH3559him kingלְמֶ֖לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428over Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and that he had exaltedנִשֵּׂ֣אni.Se'H5375his kingdomמַמְלַכְתּ֔וֹmam.lakh.ToH4467for his peopleעַמּ֥וֹa.MoH5971Israel’sיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478sake.
