4Notwithstanding the king’sהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697prevailedוַיֶּחֱזַ֤קvai.ye.che.ZakH2388against Joabיוֹאָ֔בyo.'AvH3097,and against the captainsשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of the hostהֶחָ֑יִלhe.Cha.yilH2428.And Joabיוֹאָ֜בyo.'AvH3097and the captainsוְשָׂרֵ֤יve.sa.ReiH8269of the hostהַחַ֙יִל֙ha.Cha.yilH2428went outוַיֵּצֵ֨אvai.ye.Tze'H3318from the presenceלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440of the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,to numberלִפְקֹ֥דlif.KodH6485the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

5And they passed overוַיַּעַבְר֖וּvai.ya.'av.RuH5674Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֑ןhai.yar.DenH3383,and pitchedוַיַּחֲנ֣וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583in Aroerבַעֲרוֹעֵ֗רva.'a.ro.'ErH6177,on the right sideיְמִ֥יןye.MinH3225of the cityהָעִ֛ירha.'IrH5892that liethin the midstבְּתוֹךְ־be.tokh-H8432of the riverהַנַּ֥חַלha.Na.chalH5158of Gadהַגָּ֖דha.GadH1410,and toward Jazerיַעְזֵֽר׃ya'.ZerH3270:

6Then they cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Gileadהַגִּלְעָ֔דָהha.gil.'A.dahH1568,and to the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Tahtim–hodshiH8483;and they cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Dan–jaanיַּ֔עַןYa.'anH1842,and aboutוְסָבִ֖יבve.sa.VivH5439to Zidonצִידֽוֹן׃tzi.DonH6721,

7And cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935to the strong holdמִבְצַר־miv.tzar-H4013of Tyreצֹ֔רTzorH6865,and to all the citiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892of the Hivitesהַחִוִּ֖יha.chi.ViH2340,and of the Canaanitesוְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֑יve.ha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669:and they went outוַיֵּֽצְא֛וּvai.ye.tze.'UH3318to the southנֶ֥גֶבNe.gevH5045of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063, evento Beer–shebaH884.

8So when they had goneוַיָּשֻׁ֖טוּvai.ya.Shu.tuH7751through all the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,they cameוַיָּבֹ֜אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389at the endמִקְצֵ֨הmik.TzehH7097of nineתִשְׁעָ֧הtish.'AhH8672monthsחֳדָשִׁ֛יםcho.da.ShimH2320and twentyוְעֶשְׂרִ֥יםve.'es.RimH6242daysי֖וֹםYomH3117.
