18And there went overוְעָבְרָ֣הve.'a.ve.RahH5674a ferry boatהָעֲבָרָ֗הha.'a.va.RahH5679to carry overלַֽעֲבִיר֙la.'a.VirH5674the king’sH4428householdH1004,and to doוְלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתve.la.'a.SotH6213what he thoughtבְּעֵינָ֑יוbe.'ay.noH5869goodהַטּ֖וֹבha.TovH2896.And Shimeiוְשִׁמְעִ֣יve.shim.'IH8096the sonH1121of Geraגֵּרָ֗אge.Ra'H1617fell downנָפַל֙na.FalH5307beforeH6440the kingH4428,as he was come overבְּעָבְר֖וֹbe.'a.ve.RoH5674JordanH3383;

19And saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto the kingH4428,Let not my lordאֲדֹנִי֮'a.do.NiH113imputeיַחֲשָׁב־ya.cha.shov-H2803iniquityעָוֹן֒'a.VonH5771unto me, neither do thou rememberתִּזְכֹּ֗רtiz.KorH2142that which thy servantעַבְדְּךָ֔'av.de.KhaH5650did perverselyהֶעֱוָ֣הhe.'e.VahH5753the dayבַּיּ֕וֹםbai.YomH3117that my lordאֲדֹנִֽי־'a.do.ni-H113the kingH4428went outיָׄצָ֥ׄאׄya.Tza'H3318of Jerusalemמִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑םmi.ru.sha.LimH3389,that the kingH4428should takeלָשׂ֥וּםla.SumH7760it to his heartלִבּֽוֹ׃li.BoH3820.

20For thy servantH5650doth knowיָדַ֣עya.Da'H3045that I have sinnedחָטָ֑אתִיcha.Ta.tiH2398:therefore, behold, I am comeבָ֣אתִיVa.tiH935the firstרִאשׁוֹן֙ri.shOnH7223this dayH3117of all the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Josephיוֹסֵ֔ףyo.SefH3130to go downלָרֶ֕דֶתla.Re.detH3381to meetH7125my lordH113the kingH4428.

21But Abishaiאֲבִישַׁ֤י'a.vi.ShaiH52the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Zeruiahצְרוּיָה֙tze.ru.YahH6870answeredוַיַּ֨עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030and saidוַיֹּ֔אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Shall not Shimeiשִׁמְעִ֑יshim.'IH8096be put to deathיוּמַ֖תyu.MatH4191for this, because he cursedקִלֵּ֖לki.LelH7043the Lord’sיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068anointedמְשִׁ֥יחַme.Shi.achH4899?

23Therefore the kingH4428saidH559unto Shimeiשִׁמְעִ֖יshim.'IH8096,Thou shalt not dieH4191.And the kingH4428swareוַיִּשָּׁ֥בַֽעvai.yi.Sha.va'H7650unto him.

24And Mephiboshethוּמְפִבֹ֙שֶׁת֙u.me.fi.Vo.shetH4648the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Saulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586came downיָרַ֖דya.RadH3381to meetH7125the kingH4428,and had neitherH3808dressedעָשָׂ֨ה'a.SahH6213his feetרַגְלָ֜יוrag.LavH7272,nor trimmedעָשָׂ֣ה'a.SahH6213his beardשְׂפָמ֗וֹse.fa.MoH8222,nor washedכִבֵּ֔סkhi.BesH3526his clothesבְּגָדָיו֙be.ga.DavH899,from the dayהַיּוֹם֙hai.yOmH3117the kingH4428departedH3212until the dayהַיּ֖וֹםhai.YomH3117he cameבָּ֥אba'H935againin peaceבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ve.sha.LomH7965.

25And it came to pass, when he was comeH935to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389to meetH7125the kingH4428,that the kingH4428saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Wherefore wentestH1980not thou with me, MephiboshethH4648?

26And he answeredH559,My lordאֲדֹנִ֥י'a.do.NiH113,O kingH4428,my servantעַבְדִּ֣י'av.DiH5650deceivedרִמָּ֑נִיri.Ma.niH7411me: for thy servantעַבְדְּךָ֜'av.de.KhaH5650saidH559,I will saddleאֶחְבְּשָׁה־'ech.be.shah-H2280me an assהַחֲמ֨וֹרha.cha.MorH2543,that I may rideוְאֶרְכַּ֤בve.'er.KavH7392thereon, and goH3212to the kingH4428;because thy servantעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃'av.De.khaH5650islameפִסֵּ֖חַfi.Se.achH6455.

27And he hath slanderedוַיְרַגֵּ֣לvay.ra.GelH7270thy servantH5650unto my lordH113the kingH4428;but my lordH113the kingH4428isas an angelכְּמַלְאַ֣ךְke.mal.'AkhH4397of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430:doוַעֲשֵׂ֥הva.'a.SehH6213therefore what isgoodהַטּ֖וֹבha.TovH2896in thine eyesבְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃be.'ei.Nei.khaH5869.

28For all ofmy father’sאָבִ֗י'a.ViH1houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004were butלֹ֨אlo'H3808deadמָ֙וֶת֙ma.vetH4194menאַנְשֵׁי־'an.shei-H582before my lordH113the kingH4428:yet didst thou setוַתָּ֙שֶׁת֙va.Ta.shetH7896thy servantH5650among them that did eatבְּאֹכְלֵ֖יbe.'o.khe.LeiH398at thine own tableשֻׁלְחָנֶ֑ךָshul.cha.Ne.khaH7979.What rightצְדָקָ֔הtze.da.KahH6666therefore haveיֶּשׁ־yesh-H3426I yet to cryוְלִזְעֹ֥קve.liz.'OkH2199any more unto the kingH4428?

29And the kingH4428saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Why speakestתְּדַבֵּ֥רte.da.BerH1696thou any more of thy mattersדְּבָרֶ֑יךָde.va.Rei.khaH1697?I have saidאָמַ֕רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559,Thou and Zibaוְצִיבָ֔אve.tzi.Va'H6717divideתַּחְלְק֖וּtach.le.KuH2505the landהַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ha.sa.DehH7704.

30And Mephiboshethמְפִיבֹ֙שֶׁת֙me.fi.Vo.shetH4648saidH559unto the kingH4428,Yea, let him takeיִקָּ֑חyi.KachH3947all, forasmuchאַ֠חֲרֵי'A.cha.reiH310asאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834my lordאֲדֹנִ֥י'a.do.NiH113the kingH4428is come againבָּ֞אba'H935in peaceבְּשָׁל֖וֹםbe.sha.LomH7965unto his own houseבֵּיתֽוֹ׃ סbei.ToH1004.
