3Against him came upעָלָ֔ה'a.LahH5927Shalmaneserשַׁלְמַנְאֶ֖סֶרshal.man.'E.serH8022kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֑וּר'a.ShurH804;and Hosheaהוֹשֵׁ֙עַ֙ho.She.a'H1954became his servantעֶ֔בֶד'E.vedH5650,and gaveוַיָּ֥שֶׁבvai.Ya.shevH7725him presentsמִנְחָֽה׃min.ChahH4503.

4And the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֨וּר'a.ShurH804foundוַיִּמְצָא֩vai.yim.Tza'H4672conspiracyקֶ֗שֶׁרKe.sherH7195in Hosheaבְּהוֹשֵׁ֜עַbe.ho.She.a'H1954:for he had sentשָׁלַ֤חsha.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִים֙mal.'a.KhimH4397to Soס֣וֹאSo'H5471kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,and broughtהֶעֱלָ֥הhe.'e.LahH5927no presentמִנְחָ֛הmin.ChahH4503to the kingלְמֶ֥לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804, as he had doneyearכְּשָׁנָ֣הke.sha.NahH8141by yearבְשָׁנָ֑הve.sha.NahH8141:therefore the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֔וּר'a.ShurH804shut him upוַֽיַּעַצְרֵ֙הוּ֙vai.ya.'atz.Re.huH6113,and boundוַיַּאַסְרֵ֖הוּvai.ya.'as.Re.huH631him in prisonבֵּ֥ית כֶּֽלֶא׃beit Ke.le'H3608 H1004.

5Then the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804came upוַיַּ֥עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927throughout all the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and went upוַיַּ֙עַל֙vai.Ya.'alH5927to Samariaשֹׁמְר֔וֹןsho.me.RonH8111,and besiegedוַיָּ֥צַרvai.Ya.tzarH6696it threeשָׁלֹ֥שׁsha.LoshH7969yearsשָׁנִֽים׃sha.NimH8141.
