8And Ahazאָחָ֜ז'a.ChazH271tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947the silverהַכֶּ֣סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701and goldהַזָּהָ֗בha.za.HavH2091that was foundהַנִּמְצָא֙ha.nim.Tza'H4672in the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and in the treasuresוּבְאֹֽצְר֖וֹתu.ve.'o.tze.RotH214of the king’sהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004,and sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֥חvai.yish.LachH7971it fora presentשֹֽׁחַד׃Sho.chadH7810to the kingלְמֶֽלֶךְ־le.Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804.

9And the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֔וּר'a.ShurH804hearkenedוַיִּשְׁמַ֤עvai.yish.Ma'H8085unto him: for the kingמֶ֨לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֤וּר'a.ShurH804went upוַיַּעַל֩vai.ya.'AlH5927against Damascusדַּמֶּ֙שֶׂק֙da.Me.sekH1834,and tookוַֽיִּתְפְּשֶׂ֔הָvai.yit.pe.Se.haH8610it, and carried the people ofit captiveוַיַּגְלֶ֖הָvai.yag.Le.haH1540to Kirקִ֑ירָהKi.rahH7024,and slewהֵמִֽית׃he.MitH4191Rezinרְצִ֖יןre.TzinH7526.
