23And the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068was graciousוַיָּחָן֩vai.ya.ChanH2603unto them, and had compassionוַֽיְרַחֲמֵם֙vay.ra.cha.MemH7355on them, and had respectוַיִּ֣פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437unto them, because ofלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616his covenantבְּרִית֔וֹbe.ri.ToH1285with Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacיִצְחָ֣קyitz.ChakH3327,and Jacobוְיַֽעֲקֹ֑בve.ya.'a.KoH3290,and wouldאָבָה֙'a.VahH14not destroyהַשְׁחִיתָ֔םhash.chi.TamH7843them, neither castהִשְׁלִיכָ֥םhish.li.KhamH7993he them from his presenceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440as yetעַד־'ad-H5704.

24So Hazaelחֲזָאֵ֣לcha.za.'ElH2371kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Syriaאֲרָ֑ם'a.RamH758diedוַיָּ֖מָתvai.Ya.motH4191;and Ben–hadadH1130his sonבְּנ֖וֹbe.NoH1121reignedוַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427in his stead.

25And Jehoashיְהוֹאָ֣שׁye.ho.'AshH3060the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Jehoahazיְהוֹאָחָ֗זye.ho.'a.ChazH3059tookוַיִּקַּ֤חvai.yi.KachH3947againוַיָּ֜שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725out of the handמִיַּד֙mi.YadH3027of Ben–hadadH1130the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Hazaelחֲזָאֵ֔לcha.za.'ElH2371the citiesהֶֽעָרִים֙he.'a.RimH5892,which he had takenלָקַ֗חla.KachH3947out of the handמִיַּ֛דmi.YadH3027of Jehoahazיְהוֹאָחָ֥זye.ho.'a.ChazH3059his fatherאָבִ֖יו'a.VivH1by warבַּמִּלְחָמָ֑הba.mil.cha.MahH4421.Threeשָׁלֹ֤שׁsha.LoshH7969timesפְּעָמִים֙pe.'a.MimH6471did Joashיוֹאָ֔שׁyo.'AshH3101beatהִכָּ֣הוּhi.Ka.huH5221him, and recoveredוַיָּ֖שֶׁבvai.Ya.shevH7725the citiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פYis.ra.'ElH3478.
