9There wasnothing in the arkבָּֽאָר֔וֹןba.'a.RonH727saveרַ֗קRakH7535the twoשְׁנֵי֙she.NeiH8147tablesלֻח֣וֹתlu.ChotH3871of stoneהָאֲבָנִ֔יםha.'a.va.NimH68,which Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872putH3240there at Horebבְּחֹרֵ֑בbe.cho.RevH2722,when the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068madeכָּרַ֤תka.RatH3772a covenantwith the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,when they came outבְּצֵאתָ֖םbe.tze.TamH3318of the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

10And it came to pass, when the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548were come outבְּצֵ֥אתbe.TzetH3318of the holyהַקֹּ֑דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944place,that the cloudוְהֶעָנָ֥ןve.he.'a.NanH6051filledמָלֵ֖אma.Le'H4390the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068,

11So that the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֛יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548couldיָכְל֧וּya.khe.LuH3201not standלַעֲמֹ֥דla.'a.ModH5975to ministerלְשָׁרֵ֖תle.sha.RetH8334becauseמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH6440of the cloudהֶֽעָנָ֑ןhe.'a.NanH6051:for the gloryכְבוֹד־khe.Vod-H3519of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had filledמָלֵ֥אma.Le'H4390the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.

12Then spakeאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֑הshe.lo.MohH8010,The Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068saidאָמַ֔ר'a.MarH559that he would dwellלִשְׁכֹּ֖ןlish.KonH7931in the thick darknessבָּעֲרָפֶֽל׃ba.'a.ra.FelH6205.

13I have surelyבָּנֹ֥הba.NohH1129builtבָנִ֛יתִיva.Ni.tiH1129thee an houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004to dwell inזְבֻ֖לze.VulH2073,a settled placeמָכ֥וֹןma.KhonH4349for thee to abide inלְשִׁבְתְּךָ֖le.shiv.te.KhaH3427for everעוֹלָמִֽים׃o.la.MimH5769.

14And the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428turnedוַיַּסֵּ֤בvai.ya.SevH5437his faceפָּנָ֔יוpa.NavH6440aboutH5437,and blessedוַיְבָ֕רֶךְvay.Va.rekhH1288all the congregationקְהַ֣לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478: (and all the congregationקְהַ֥לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478stoodעֹמֵֽד׃'o.MedH5975;)

15And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Blessedבָּר֤וּךְba.RukhH1288bethe Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,which spakeדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696with his mouthבְּפִ֔יוbe.FivH6310unto Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֑י'a.ViH1,and hath with his handוּבְיָד֥וֹu.ve.ya.DoH3027fulfilledמִלֵּ֖אmi.Le'H4390it,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

16Since the dayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117that I brought forthהוֹצֵ֜אתִיho.Tze.tiH3318my peopleעַמִּ֣י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֮Yis.ra.'ElH3478out of Egyptמִמִּצְרַיִם֒mi.mitz.ra.YimH4714,I choseבָחַ֣רְתִּיva.Char.tiH977no cityבְעִ֗ירve.'IrH5892out of all the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004,that my nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034might be therein; but I choseוָאֶבְחַ֣רva.'ev.CharH977Davidבְּדָוִ֔דbe.da.VidH1732to be over my peopleעַמִּ֥י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

17And it was in the heartלְבַ֖בle.VavH3824of Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֑י'a.ViH1to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004for the nameלְשֵׁ֥םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

18And the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֔י'a.ViH1,Whereasיַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֤רYa.'an 'a.SherH834 H3282it was in thine heartלְבָ֣בְךָ֔le.Va.ve.khaH3824to buildלִבְנ֥וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֖יִתBa.yitH1004unto my nameלִשְׁמִ֑יlish.MiH8034,thou didst wellהֱטִיבֹ֔תָhe.ti.Vo.taH2895that it was in thine heartלְבָבֶֽךָ׃le.va.Ve.khaH3824.

19Neverthelessרַ֣קrakH7535thou shalt not buildתִבְנֶ֖הtiv.NehH1129the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004;but thy sonבִּנְךָ֙bin.KhaH1121that shall come forth outהַיֹּצֵ֣אhai.yo.Tze'H3318of thy loinsמֵחֲלָצֶ֔יךָme.cha.la.Tzei.khaH2504,he shall buildיִבְנֶ֥הyiv.NehH1129the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004unto my nameלִשְׁמִֽי׃lish.MiH8034.

20And the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068hath performedוַיָּ֣קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965his wordדְּבָר֖וֹde.va.RoH1697that he spakeדִּבֵּ֑רdi.BerH1696,and I am risen upוָאָקֻ֡םva.'a.KumH6965in the room of Davidדָּוִ֨דda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֜י'a.ViH1,and sitוָאֵשֵׁ֣בva.'e.ShevH3427on the throneכִּסֵּ֣אki.Se'H3678of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,as the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068promisedדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696,and have builtוָאֶבְנֶ֣הva.'ev.NehH1129an houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004for the nameלְשֵׁ֥םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

21And I have setוָאָשִׂ֨םva.'a.SimH7760there a placeמָקוֹם֙ma.kOmH4725for the arkלָֽאָר֔וֹןla.'a.RonH727, wherein isthe covenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,which he madeכָּרַת֙ka.RatH3772with our fathersאֲבֹתֵ֔ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1,when he brought them outבְּהוֹצִיא֥וֹbe.ho.tzi.'OH3318of the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃ סmitz.Ra.yimH4714.
