1And it came to pass, when Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֔הshe.lo.MohH8010had finishedכְּכַלּ֣וֹתke.kha.LotH3615the buildingלִבְנ֥וֹתliv.NotH1129of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,and the king’sהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004,and all Solomon’sשְׁלֹמֹ֔הshe.lo.MohH8010desireחֵ֣שֶׁקChe.shekH2837which he was pleasedחָפֵ֖ץcha.FetzH2654to doלַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ פla.'a.SotH6213,

2That the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֧אvai.ye.Ra'H7200to Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010the second timeשֵׁנִ֑יתshe.NitH8145,as he had appearedנִרְאָ֥הnir.'AhH7200unto him at Gibeonבְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃be.giv.'onH1391.

3And the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, I have heardשָׁ֠מַעְתִּיSha.ma'.tiH8085thy prayerתְּפִלָּתְךָ֣te.fi.la.te.KhaH8605and thy supplicationתְּחִנָּתְךָ֮te.chi.na.te.KhaH8467,that thou hast madeהִתְחַנַּ֣נְתָּהhit.cha.Nan.tahH2603beforeלְפָנַי֒le.fa.NaiH6440me: I have hallowedהִקְדַּ֗שְׁתִּיhik.Dash.tiH6942this houseהַבַּ֤יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,which thou hast builtבָּנִ֔תָהba.Ni.tahH1129,to putלָשֽׂוּם־la.sum-H7760my nameשְׁמִ֥יshe.MiH8034there forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769;and mine eyesעֵינַ֧י'ei.NaiH5869and mine heartוְלִבִּ֛יve.li.BiH3820shall be there perpetuallyהַיָּמִֽים׃hai.ya.MimH3117.

4And if thou wilt walkH3212beforeלְפָנַ֗יle.fa.NaiH6440me, as Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732thy fatherאָבִ֙יךָ֙'a.Vi.khaH1walkedH1980,in integrityבְּתָם־be.tom-H8537of heartלֵבָ֣בle.VavH3824,and in uprightnessוּבְיֹ֔שֶׁרu.ve.Yo.sherH3476,to doלַעֲשׂ֕וֹתla.'a.SotH6213according to all that I have commandedצִוִּיתִ֑יךָtzi.vi.Ti.khaH6680thee, andwilt keepתִּשְׁמֹֽר׃tish.MorH8104my statutesחֻקַּ֥יchu.KaiH2706and my judgmentsוּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖יu.mish.pa.TaiH4941:

5Then I will establishוַהֲקִ֨מֹתִ֜יva.ha.Ki.mo.TiH6965the throneכִּסֵּ֧אki.Se'H3678of thy kingdomמַֽמְלַכְתְּךָ֛mam.lakh.te.KhaH4467upon Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478for everלְעֹלָ֑םle.'o.LamH5769,as I promisedדִּבַּ֗רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696to Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732thy fatherאָבִ֙יךָ֙'a.Vi.khaH1,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,There shall not failיִכָּרֵ֤תyi.ka.RetH3772thee a manאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376upon the throneכִּסֵּ֥אki.Se'H3678of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

6Butif ye shall at allשׁ֨וֹבShovH7725turnתְּשֻׁב֜וּןte.shu.VunH7725from followingמֵֽאַחֲרַ֔יme.'a.cha.RaiH310me, ye or your childrenוּבְנֵיכֶם֙u.ve.nei.KhemH1121,and will not keepתִשְׁמְרוּ֙tish.me.RuH8104my commandmentsמִצְוֹתַ֣יmitz.vo.TaiH4687andmy statutesחֻקֹּתַ֔יchu.ko.TaiH2708which I have setנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414beforeלִפְנֵיכֶ֑םlif.nei.KhemH6440you, but goוַהֲלַכְתֶּ֗םva.ha.lakh.TemH1980and serveוַעֲבַדְתֶּם֙va.'a.vad.TemH5647otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,and worshipוְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתֶ֖םve.hish.ta.cha.vi.TemH7812them:

7Then will I cut offוְהִכְרַתִּ֣יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478outפְּנֵ֤יpe.NeiH6440of the landהָאֲדָמָה֙ha.'a.da.MahH127which I have givenנָתַ֣תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414them; and this houseהַבַּ֙יִת֙ha.Ba.yitH1004,which I have hallowedהִקְדַּ֣שְׁתִּיhik.Dash.tiH6942for my nameלִשְׁמִ֔יlish.MiH8034,will I cast outאֲשַׁלַּ֖ח'a.sha.LachH7971of my sightפָּנָ֑יpa.NaiH6440;and Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478shall be a proverbלְמָשָׁ֥לle.ma.ShalH4912and a bywordוְלִשְׁנִינָ֖הve.lish.ni.NahH8148among all peopleהָעַמִּֽים׃ha.'a.MimH5971:

8And at this houseוְהַבַּ֤יִתve.ha.Ba.yitH1004, whichis highעֶלְי֔וֹןel.YonH5945,every one that passethעֹבֵ֥ר'o.VerH5674by it shall be astonishedיִשֹּׁ֣םyi.ShomH8074,and shall hissוְשָׁרָ֑קve.sha.RakH8319;and they shall sayוְאָמְר֗וּve.'a.me.RuH559,Why hath the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068doneעָשָׂ֤ה'a.SahH6213thus unto this landלָאָ֥רֶץla.'A.retzH776,and to this houseוְלַבַּ֥יִתve.la.Ba.yitH1004?

9And they shall answerוְאָמְר֗וּve.'a.me.RuH559,Because they forsookעָזְב֜וּ'a.ze.VuH5800the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹהֵיהֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430,who brought forthהוֹצִ֣יאho.Tzi'H3318their fathersאֲבֹתָם֮'a.vo.TamH1out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַיִם֒mitz.ra.YimH4714,and have taken holdוַֽיַּחֲזִ֙קוּ֙vai.ya.cha.Zi.kuH2388upon otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsבֵּאלֹהִ֣יםbe.lo.HimH430,and have worshippedוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּvai.yish.ta.chuH7812them, and servedוַיַּעַבְדֻ֑םvai.ya.'av.DumH5647them: therefore hath the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068broughtהֵבִ֤יאhe.Vi'H935upon them all this evilהָרָעָ֖הha.ra.'AhH7451.

10And it came to pass at the endמִקְצֵה֙mik.TzehH7097of twentyעֶשְׂרִ֣ים'es.RimH6242yearsשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141,when Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010had builtבָּנָ֥הba.NahH1129the twoשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8147housesהַבָּתִּ֑יםha.ba.TimH1004,the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,and the king’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004,

11(NowHiramחִירָ֣םchi.RamH2438the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Tyreצֹ֠רtzorH6865had furnishedנִשָּׂ֨אni.Sa'H5375Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֜הshe.lo.MohH8010with cedarאֲרָזִ֨ים'a.ra.ZimH730treesבַּעֲצֵי֩ba.'a.TzeiH6086and firבְרוֹשִׁ֛יםve.ro.ShimH1265treesוּבַעֲצֵ֧יu.va.'a.TzeiH6086,and with goldוּבַזָּהָ֖בu.va.za.HavH2091,according to all his desireחֶפְצ֑וֹchef.TzoH2656,)that thenאָ֡ז'azH227kingהַמֶּ֨לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֤הshe.lo.MohH8010gaveיִתֵּן֩yi.TenH5414Hiramלְחִירָם֙le.chi.RamH2438twentyעֶשְׂרִ֣ים'es.RimH6242citiesעִ֔יר'IrH5892in the landבְּאֶ֖רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Galileeהַגָּלִֽיל׃ha.ga.LilH1551.

12And Hiramחִירָם֙chi.RamH2438came outוַיֵּצֵ֤אvai.ye.Tze'H3318from Tyreמִצֹּ֔רmi.TzorH6865to seeלִרְאוֹת֙lir.'OtH7200the citiesהֶ֣עָרִ֔יםhe.'a.RimH5892which Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֑הshe.lo.MohH8010had givenנָתַן־na.tan-H5414him; and they pleasedיָשְׁר֖וּ בְּעֵינָֽיו׃ya.she.Ru be.'ei.NavH5869 H3474him not.

13And he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,What citiesהֶעָרִ֣יםhe.'a.RimH5892arethese which thou hast givenנָתַ֥תָּהna.Ta.tahH5414me, my brotherאָחִ֑י'a.ChiH251?And he calledוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121them the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Cabulכָּב֔וּלka.VulH3521unto this dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

14And Hiramחִירָ֖םchi.RamH2438sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֥חvai.yish.LachH7971to the kingלַמֶּ֑לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428sixscoreמֵאָ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֖יםme.'Ah ve.'es.RimH6242 H3967talentsכִּכַּ֥רki.KarH3603of goldזָהָֽב׃za.HavH2091.

15And this isthe reasonדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the levyהַמַּ֜סha.MasH4522which kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֗הshe.lo.MohH8010raisedהֶעֱלָ֣ה׀he.'e.LahH5927;for to buildלִבְנוֹת֩liv.nOtH1129the houseבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068,and his own houseבֵּיתוֹ֙bei.ToH1004,and Milloהַמִּלּ֔וֹאha.mi.Lo'H4407,and the wallחוֹמַ֣תcho.MatH2346of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and Hazorחָצֹ֥רcha.TzorH2674,and Megiddoמְגִדּ֖וֹme.gi.DoH4023,and Gezerגָּֽזֶר׃Ga.zerH1507.

16ForPharaohפַּרְעֹ֨הpar.'OhH6547kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֜יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714had gone upעָלָ֗ה'a.LahH5927,and takenוַיִּלְכֹּ֤דvai.yil.KodH3920Gezerגֶּ֙זֶר֙ge.zerH1507,and burntוַיִּשְׂרְפָ֣הּvai.yis.re.FahH8313it with fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784,and slainהָרָ֑גha.RagH2026the Canaanitesהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֛יha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669that dweltהַיֹּשֵׁ֥בhai.yo.ShevH3427in the cityבָּעִ֖ירba.'IrH5892,and givenוַֽיִּתְּנָהּ֙vai.yi.te.NahH5414it fora presentשִׁלֻּחִ֔יםshi.lu.ChimH7964unto his daughterלְבִתּ֖וֹle.vi.ToH1323,Solomon’sשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃she.lo.MohH8010wifeאֵ֥שֶׁת'E.shetH802.

17And Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010builtוַיִּ֤בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129Gezerגָּ֔זֶרGa.zerH1507,and Beth–horonH1032the netherתַּחְתּֽוֹן׃tach.TonH8481,

18And Baalathבַּעֲלָ֛תba.'a.LatH1191,and Tadmorתַּדְמֹ֥רta.marH8412in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֖רba.mid.BarH4057,in the landבָּאָֽרֶץ׃ba.'A.retzH776,

19And all the citiesעָרֵ֤י'a.ReiH5892of storeהַֽמִּסְכְּנוֹת֙ha.mis.ke.nOtH4543that Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֔הlish.lo.MohH8010had, and citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892for his chariotsהָרֶ֔כֶבha.Re.khevH7393,and citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892for his horsemenהַפָּרָשִׁ֑יםha.pa.ra.ShimH6571,and thatחֵ֣שֶׁקChe.shekH2837which Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֗הshe.lo.MohH8010desiredחָשַׁק֙cha.ShakH2836to buildלִבְנ֤וֹתliv.NotH1129in Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙bi.ru.sha.LimH3389,and in Lebanonוּבַלְּבָנ֔וֹןu.va.le.va.NonH3844,and in all the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of his dominionמֶמְשַׁלְתּֽוֹ׃mem.shal.ToH4475.

20Andall the peopleהָ֠עָםHa.'omH5971that wereleftהַנּוֹתָ֨רha.no.TarH3498of the Amoritesהָאֱמֹרִ֜יha.'e.mo.RiH567,Hittitesהַחִתִּ֤יha.chi.TiH2850,Perizzitesהַפְּרִזִּי֙ha.pe.ri.ZiH6522,Hivitesהַחִוִּ֣יha.chi.ViH2340,and Jebusitesוְהַיְבוּסִ֔יve.hay.vu.SiH2983, which werenot of the childrenמִבְּנֵ֥יmi.be.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,

21Their childrenבְּנֵיהֶ֗םbe.nei.HemH1121that were leftנֹתְר֤וּno.te.RuH3498afterאַחֲרֵיהֶם֙'a.cha.rei.HemH310them in the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776,whom the childrenבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478also were not ableיָכְל֛וּya.khe.LuH3201utterly to destroyלְהַֽחֲרִימָ֑םle.ha.cha.ri.MamH2763,upon those did Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010levyוַיַּעֲלֵ֤םvai.ya.'a.LemH5927a tributeלְמַס־le.mas-H4522of bondserviceעֹבֵ֔ד'o.VedH5647unto this dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

22But of the childrenוּמִבְּנֵי֙u.mi.be.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478did Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010makeנָתַ֥ןna.TanH5414no bondmenעָ֑בֶד'A.vedH5650: but they weremenאַנְשֵׁ֣י'an.SheiH582of warהַמִּלְחָמָ֗הha.mil.cha.MahH4421,and his servantsוַעֲבָדָיו֙va.'a.va.DavH5650,and his princesוְשָׂרָ֣יוve.sa.RavH8269,and his captainsוְשָׁלִשָׁ֔יוve.sha.li.ShavH7991,and rulersוְשָׂרֵ֥יve.sa.ReiH8269of his chariotsרִכְבּ֖וֹrikh.BoH7393,and his horsemenוּפָרָשָֽׁיו׃ סu.fa.ra.ShavH6571.

23These werethe chiefשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of the officersהַנִּצָּבִ֗יםha.ni.tza.VimH5324that wereover Solomon’sלִשְׁלֹמֹ֔הlish.lo.MohH8010workהַמְּלָאכָה֙ha.me.la.KhahH4399,fiveוַחֲמֵ֣שׁva.cha.MeshH2568hundredמֵא֑וֹתme.'otH3967and fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֖יםcha.mi.ShimH2572,which bare ruleהָרֹדִ֣יםha.ro.DimH7287over the peopleבָּעָ֔םba.'AmH5971that wroughtהָעֹשִׂ֖יםha.'o.SimH6213in the workבַּמְּלָאכָֽה׃ba.me.la.KhahH4399.

24But Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֗הpar.'OhH6547daughterבַּת־bat-H1323came upעָֽלְתָה֙'al.TahH5927out of the cityמֵעִ֣ירme.'IrH5892of Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732unto her houseבֵּיתָ֖הּbei.TahH1004which Solomonhad builtבָּֽנָה־ba.nah-H1129for her: then did he buildבָּנָ֥הba.NahH1129Milloהַמִּלּֽוֹא׃ha.mi.Lo'H4407.

25And threeשָׁלֹשׁ֩sha.LoshH7969timesפְּעָמִ֨יםpe.'a.MimH6471in a yearבַּשָּׁנָ֜הba.sha.NahH8141did Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֡הshe.lo.MohH8010offerוְהֶעֱלָ֣הve.he.'e.LahH5927burnt offeringsעֹל֣וֹתo.LotH5930and peace offeringsוּשְׁלָמִ֗יםu.she.la.MimH8002upon the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ha.miz.Be.achH4196which he builtבָּנָ֣הba.NahH1129unto the Lordלַיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068,and he burnt incenseוְהַקְטֵ֣ירve.hak.TeirH6999upon the altarH4196that wasbeforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.So he finishedוְשִׁלַּ֖םve.shi.LamH7999the houseהַבָּֽיִת׃ha.Ba.yitH1004.

26And kingהַמֶּ֨לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֜הshe.lo.MohH8010madeעָשָׂה֩'a.SahH6213a navy of shipsוָאֳנִ֡יvo.'o.NiH590in Ezion–geberH6100, which isbeside Elothאֵל֛וֹת'e.LotH359,on the shoreשְׂפַ֥תse.FatH8193of the Redס֖וּףsufH5488seaיַם־yam-H3220,in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Edomאֱדֽוֹם׃'e.DomH123.

27And Hiramחִירָ֤םchi.RamH2438sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֨חvai.yish.LachH7971in the navyבָּֽאֳנִי֙bo.'o.NiH590his servantsעֲבָדָ֔יו'a.va.DavH5650,shipmenאַנְשֵׁ֣י אֳנִיּ֔וֹת'an.Shei 'o.ni.YotH591 H582that had knowledgeיֹדְעֵ֖יyo.de.'EiH3045of the seaהַיָּ֑םhai.YamH3220,with the servantsעַבְדֵ֥י'av.DeiH5650of Solomonשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃she.lo.MohH8010.

28And they cameוַיָּבֹ֣אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Ophirאוֹפִ֔ירָה'o.Fi.rahH211,and fetchedוַיִּקְח֤וּvai.yik.ChuH3947from thence goldזָהָ֔בza.HavH2091,fourאַרְבַּע־'ar.ba'-H702hundredמֵא֥וֹתme.'otH3967and twentyוְעֶשְׂרִ֖יםve.'es.RimH6242talentsכִּכָּ֑רki.KarH3603,and broughtוַיָּבִ֖אוּvai.ya.Vi.'uH935itto kingהַמֶּ֥לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Solomonשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ פshe.lo.MohH8010.
