Context of Psalms 80:15
13Wild pigs from the forest attack your vine. Other wild animals eat all the fruit. 14Come back to us, God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see what is happening! Take care of your special vine. You planted it with your own right hand. You caused it to grow, like a strong son. 16But now the enemy has cut down your vine, and they have burned it with fire. Show them that you are angry with them, and destroy them! 17Give strength to the one who sits at your right hand. He is the man that you have chosen to serve you.

And the branch - thou madest strong for thy self - The original בן ועל veal ben, "and upon the Son whom thou hast strengthened for thyself." Many have thought that the Lord Jesus is meant. - Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 15And the vineyard - Gesenius renders this as a verb: “Protect;” that is, “Protect or defend what thy right hand hath planted.” So the Septuagint renders it ́ katartisai - and the Vulgate, perfice, fit, prepare, order. Prof. Alexander renders it sustain. DeWette, “Guard what thy right hand hath planted.” This is doubtless the true idea. It is a prayer that God would guard, sustain, defend what he had planted; to wit, the vine which he had brought out of…Read the comment

And are not we planted as in a well-cultivated garden, with every means of being fruitful in works of righteousness?
