Context of Matthew 24:14
12More and more people everywhere will be doing very bad things. Because of this, many people will no longer love each other in the way that they did before. 13But God will save the person who remains strong until the end. People will tell the good news about God's kingdom to people all over the world. People in every country will hear the true message from God. Then God will cause the world to come to an end. 15Long ago, God's prophet Daniel wrote in the Bible about something that would happen. He said that one day people would put a disgusting thing that causes trouble in the temple. You will see it in the holy place. (When you read this, you must understand what it means.) 16At that time, people in Judea must run away to the hills to hide.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 14And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world - But, notwithstanding these persecutions, there should be a universal publication of the glad tidings of the kingdom, for a testimony to all nations. God would have the iniquity of the Jews published every where, before the heavy stroke of his judgments should fall upon them; that all mankind, as it were, might be brought as witnesses against their cruelty and obstinacy in crucifying and…Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world - The evidence that this was done is to be chiefly derived from the New Testament, and there it is clear. Thus Paul declares that it was preached to every creature under heaven Colossians 1:6, Colossians 1:23; that the faith of the Romans was spoken of throughout the whole world Romans 1:8; that he preached in Arabia Galatians 1:17, and at Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum Romans…Read the comment

First is "the abomination of desolation" (24:15). Second is severe persecution (24:16–28). Finally comes the sign of the Son of Man (24:29–31).Read the comment
