Context of Philemon 1:22
20Yes, brother, let me have some benefit from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Messiah. 21Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than what I say. At the same time also, prepare a guest room for me—for I hope that through your prayers I will be given back to you. 23Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Messiah Yeshua, greets you. 24So do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 22But withal prepare me also a lodging - Does not the apostle mention this as conferring an obligation on Philemon? I will begin to repay thee by taking up my abode at thy house, as soon as I shall be enlarged from prison. But some think he wished Philemon to hire him a house, that he might have a lodging of his own when he returned to Colosse. Prepare me also a lodging - Philemon had been accustomed to show kindness to the saints Philemon 1:5, and not improbably Paul had before shared his hospitality.
