6that this may be a signH226 among youH3588, that when your childrenH1121 askH7592 in time to comeH1961, sayingH559, WhatH4100 mean ye by theseH428 stonesH68?

7then ye shall sayH559 unto them, BecauseH834 the watersH4325 of JordanH3383 were cutH3772 offH3772 beforeH6440 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068; when it passedH5674 over JordanH3383, the watersH4325 of JordanH3383 were cutH3772 offH3772: and theseH428 stonesH68 shall be for a memorialH2146 unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 for everH5769.

8And the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 didH6213 soH3651 as JoshuaH3091 commandedH6680, and tookH5375 upH5375 twelveH6240 stonesH68 outH413 of the midstH8432 of JordanH3383, as the LORDH3068 spake unto JoshuaH3091, accordingH413 to the numberH4557 of the tribesH7626 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478; and they carriedH5375 them over with them unto the placeH4411 whereH834 they lodged, and laidH6680 them downH6680 there.

9And JoshuaH3091 setH6965 upH6965 twelveH6240 stonesH68 in the midstH8432 of JordanH3383, in the placeH8478 whereH8033 the feetH7272 of the priestsH3548 whichH8033 bare the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 stoodH6965: and they are there, unto this dayH3117.
