Revised Version 1895
Hosea 8:1-6
1SET the trumpetH7782 to thy mouthH2441. As an eagleH5404 he cometh againstH5921 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068: becauseH5921 they have transgressedH6586 my covenantH1285, and trespassed againstH5921 my lawH8451.
2They shall cryH2199 unto meH3045, My GodH430, we IsraelH3478 knowH3045 thee.
3IsraelH3478 hath cast off that which is goodH2896: the enemyH341 shall pursueH7291 him.
4They have setH6213 upH4480 kings, but notH3808 by meH4480; they have madeH6213 princesH8323, and I knewH3045 it notH3808: of their silverH3701 and their goldH2091 have they madeH6213 them idolsH6091, that they may be cutH3772 offH3772.
5He hath cast off thy calfH5695, O SamariaH8111; mine angerH639 is kindledH2734 againstH2734 them: howH4970 longH5704 will it be ere they attain to innocency?
6For from IsraelH3478 is evenH3588 this; the workman madeH6213 it, and it is noH3808 GodH430: yeaH3588, the calfH5695 of SamariaH8111 shall be brokenH7616 in piecesH7616.
