18And by the goodהַטּוֹבָ֤הha.to.VahH2896handכְּיַד־ke.yad-H3027of our Godאֱלֹהֵ֨ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430upon us they broughtוַיָּבִ֨יאּוּvai.ya.Vi'.'uH935us a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of understandingשֶׂ֔כֶלSe.khelH7922,of the sonsמִבְּנֵ֣יmi.be.NeiH1121of Mahliמַחְלִ֔יmach.LiH4249,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of LeviH3878,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and Sherebiahוְשֵׁרֵֽבְיָ֛הve.she.re.ve.YahH8274,with his sonsוּבָנָ֥יוu.va.NavH1121and his brethrenוְאֶחָ֖יוve.'e.ChavH251,eighteenשְׁמֹנָ֥ה עָשָֽׂר׃she.mo.Nah 'a.SarH6240 H8083;

19And Hashabiahחֲשַׁבְיָ֔הcha.shav.YahH2811,and with him Jeshaiahיְשַֽׁעְיָ֖הye.sha'.YahH3470of the sonsמִבְּנֵ֣יmi.be.NeiH1121of Merariמְרָרִ֑יme.ra.RiH4847,his brethrenאֶחָ֥יו'e.ChavH251and their sonsוּבְנֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.nei.HemH1121,twentyעֶשְׂרִֽים׃ ס'es.RimH6242;

20Also of the Nethinimsהַנְּתִינִ֗יםha.ne.ti.NimH5411,whom Davidדָּוִ֤ידda.VidH1732and the princesוְהַשָּׂרִים֙ve.ha.sa.RimH8269had appointedשֶׁנָּתַ֨ןshe.na.TanH5414for the serviceלַעֲבֹדַ֣תla.'a.vo.DatH5656of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881,two hundredמָאתַ֣יִםma.Ta.yimH3967and twentyוְעֶשְׂרִ֑יםve.'es.RimH6242Nethinimsנְתִינִ֖יםne.ti.NimH5411:all of them were expressedנִקְּב֥וּni.ke.VuH5344by nameבְשֵׁמֽוֹת׃ve.she.MotH8034.

21Then I proclaimedוָאֶקְרָ֨אva.'ek.Ra'H7121a fastצוֹם֙tzOmH6685there, at the riverהַנָּהָ֣רha.na.HarH5104of Ahavaאַהֲוָ֔א'a.ha.Va'H163,that we might afflictלְהִתְעַנּ֖וֹתle.hit.'a.NotH6031ourselves beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440our Godאֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430,to seekלְבַקֵּ֤שׁle.va.KeshH1245of him a rightיְשָׁרָ֔הye.sha.RahH3477wayדֶּ֣רֶךְDe.rekhH1870for us, and for our little onesוּלְטַפֵּ֖נוּu.le.ta.Pe.nuH2945,and for all our substanceרְכוּשֵֽׁנוּ׃re.khu.She.nuH7399.

22For I was ashamedבֹ֗שְׁתִּיVo.she.tiH954to requireלִשְׁא֤וֹלlish.'olH7592of the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428a band of soldiersחַ֣יִלCha.yilH2428and horsemenוּפָרָשִׁ֔יםu.fa.ra.ShimH6571to helpלְעָזְרֵ֥נוּle.'a.ze.Re.nuH5826us against the enemyמֵאוֹיֵ֖בme.'o.YevH341in the wayבַּדָּ֑רֶךְba.Da.rekhH1870:because we had spokenאָמַ֨רְנוּ'a.Mar.nuH559unto the kingלַמֶּ֜לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559,The handיַד־yad-H3027of our Godאֱלֹהֵ֤ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430isupon all them for goodלְטוֹבָ֔הle.to.VahH2896that seekמְבַקְשָׁיו֙me.vak.ShavH1245him; but his powerוְעֻזּ֣וֹve.'u.ZoH5797and his wrathוְאַפּ֔וֹve.'a.PoH639isagainst all them that forsakeעֹזְבָֽיו׃'o.ze.VavH5800him.

23So we fastedוַנָּצ֛וּמָהva.na.Tzu.mahH6684and besoughtוַנְּבַקְשָׁ֥הva.ne.vak.ShahH1245our Godמֵאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּme.'e.lo.Hei.nuH430for this: and he was intreatedוַיֵּעָתֵ֖רvai.ye.'a.TerH6279of us.

24Then I separatedוָאַבְדִּ֛ילָהva.'av.Di.lahH914twelveשְׁנֵ֣ים עָשָׂ֑רshe.Neim 'a.SarH6240 H8147of the chiefמִשָּׂרֵ֥יmi.sa.ReiH8269of the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548,Sherebiahלְשֵׁרֵֽבְיָ֣הle.she.re.ve.YahH8274,Hashabiahחֲשַׁבְיָ֔הcha.shav.YahH2811,and tenעֲשָׂרָֽה׃'a.sa.RahH6235of their brethrenמֵאֲחֵיהֶ֖םme.'a.chei.HemH251with them,
