10And Ezraעֶזְרָ֤א'ez.Ra'H5830the priestהַכֹּהֵן֙ha.ko.HenH3548stood upוַיָּ֨קָםvai.Ya.komH6965,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Ye have transgressedמְעַלְתֶּ֔םme.'al.TemH4603,and have takenוַתֹּשִׁ֖יבוּva.to.Shi.vuH3427strangeנָכְרִיּ֑וֹתna.khe.ri.YotH5237wivesנָשִׁ֣יםna.ShimH802,to increaseלְהוֹסִ֖יףle.ho.SifH3254the trespassאַשְׁמַ֥ת'ash.MatH819of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

11Now therefore makeתְּנ֥וּte.NuH5414confessionתוֹדָ֛הto.DahH8426unto the Lordלַיהוָ֥הla.Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of your fathersאֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,and doוַעֲשׂ֣וּva.'a.SuH6213his pleasureרְצוֹנ֑וֹre.tzo.NoH7522:and separateוְהִבָּֽדְלוּ֙ve.hi.ba.de.LuH914yourselves from the peopleמֵעַמֵּ֣יme.'a.MeiH5971of the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and from the strangeהַנָּכְרִיּֽוֹת׃ha.na.khe.ri.YotH5237wivesהַנָּשִׁ֖יםha.na.ShimH802.

12Then all the congregationהַקָּהָ֛לha.ka.HalH6951answeredוַיַּֽעְנ֧וּvai.ya'.NuH6030and saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559with a loudגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419voiceק֣וֹלKolH6963,As thou hast saidכִּדְבָרְךָ֥ke.div.rei.khaH1697,so must we doלַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃la.'a.SotH6213.

13Butאֲבָ֞ל'a.ValH61the peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971aremanyרָב֙ravH7227, and it isa timeוְהָעֵ֣תve.ha.'EtH6256of much rainגְּשָׁמִ֔יםge.sha.MimH1653,and we are not ableכֹּ֖חַKo.achH3581to standלַעֲמ֣וֹדla.'a.ModH5975withoutבַּח֑וּץba.ChutzH2351, neither is thisa workוְהַמְּלָאכָ֗הve.ha.me.la.KhahH4399of oneאֶחָד֙'e.ChadH259dayלְי֤וֹםle.YomH3117or twoלִשְׁנַ֔יִםlish.Na.yimH8147:for we are manyהִרְבִּ֥ינוּhir.Bi.nuH7235that have transgressedלִפְשֹׁ֖עַlif.Sho.a'H6586in this thingבַּדָּבָ֥רba.da.VarH1697.

18And among the sonsמִבְּנֵ֣יmi.be.NeiH1121of the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֔יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548there were foundוַיִּמָּצֵא֙vai.yi.ma.Tze'H4672that had takenהֹשִׁ֖יבוּho.Shi.vuH3427strangeנָכְרִיּ֑וֹתna.khe.ri.YotH5237wivesנָשִׁ֣יםna.ShimH802: namely,of the sonsמִבְּנֵ֨יmi.be.NeiH1121of Jeshuaיֵשׁ֤וּעַye.Shu.a'H3442the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Jozadakיֽוֹצָדָק֙yo.tza.DakH3136,and his brethrenוְאֶחָ֔יוve.'e.ChavH251;Maaseiahמַֽעֲשֵׂיָה֙ma.'a.se.YahH4641,and Eliezerוֶֽאֱלִיעֶ֔זֶרve.'e.li.'E.zerH461,and Jaribוְיָרִ֖יבve.ya.RivH3402,and Gedaliahוּגְדַלְיָֽה׃u.ge.dal.YahH1436.

19And they gaveוַיִּתְּנ֥וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414their handsיָדָ֖םya.DamH3027that they would put awayלְהוֹצִ֣יאle.ho.Tzi'H3318their wivesנְשֵׁיהֶ֑םne.shei.HemH802; and beingguiltyוַאֲשֵׁמִ֥יםva.'a.she.MimH818, they offereda ramאֵֽיל־'eil-H352of the flockצֹ֖אןtzonH6629for their trespassאַשְׁמָתָֽם׃ ס'ash.ma.TamH819.
