11And Hiramחִירָ֨םchi.RamH2438kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Tyreצֹ֥רtzorH6865sentוַ֠יִּשְׁלַחVai.yish.lachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִים֮mal.'a.KhimH4397to Davidדָּוִד֒da.VidH1732,and cedarאֲרָזִ֔ים'a.ra.ZimH730treesH6086,and carpentersH2796,and masonsאֶ֣בֶן קִ֑יר'E.ven KirH68 H7023:and they builtוַיִּבְנֽוּ־vai.yiv.nu-H1129Davidלְדָוִֽד׃le.da.VidH1732an houseבַ֖יִתVa.yitH1004.

12And Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732perceivedוַיֵּ֣דַעvai.Ye.da'H3045that the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had establishedהֱכִינ֧וֹhe.khi.NoH3559him kingלְמֶ֖לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428over Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and that he had exaltedנִשֵּׂ֣אni.Se'H5375his kingdomמַמְלַכְתּ֔וֹmam.lakh.ToH4467for his peopleעַמּ֥וֹa.MoH5971Israel’sיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478sake.

13And Davidדָּוִ֨דda.VidH1732tookוַיִּקַּח֩vai.yi.KachH3947himmore concubinesפִּֽלַגְשִׁ֤יםpi.lag.ShimH6370and wivesוְנָשִׁים֙ve.na.ShimH802out of Jerusalemמִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םmi.Ru.sha.LimH3389,afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310he was comeבֹּא֣וֹbo.'OH935from Hebronמֵחֶבְר֑וֹןme.chev.RonH2275:and there were yet sonsבָּנִ֥יםba.NimH1121and daughtersוּבָנֽוֹת׃u.va.NotH1323bornוַיִּוָּ֥לְדּוּvai.yi.Val.duH3205to Davidלְדָוִ֖דle.da.VidH1732.

14And these bethe namesשְׁמ֛וֹתshe.MotH8034of those that were bornהַיִּלֹּדִ֥יםhai.yi.lo.DimH3209unto him in Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389;Shammuaשַׁמּ֣וּעַsha.Mu.a'H8051,and Shobabוְשׁוֹבָ֔בve.sho.VavH7727,and Nathanוְנָתָ֖ןve.na.TanH5416,and Solomonוּשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃u.she.lo.MohH8010,

15Ibharוְיִבְחָ֥רve.yiv.CharH2984also, and Elishuaוֶאֱלִישׁ֖וּעַve.'e.li.Shu.a'H474,and Nephegוְנֶ֥פֶגve.Ne.fegH5298,and Japhiaוְיָפִֽיעַ׃ve.ya.Fi.a'H3309,

16And Elishamaוֶאֱלִישָׁמָ֥עve.'e.li.sha.Ma'H476,and Eliadaוְאֶלְיָדָ֖עve.'el.ya.Da'H450,and Eliphaletוֶאֱלִיפָֽלֶט׃ פve.'e.li.Fa.letH467.

17But when the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּ֗יםfe.lish.TimH6430heardוַיִּשְׁמְע֣וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085that they had anointedמָשְׁח֨וּma.she.ChuH4886Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732kingלְמֶ֙לֶךְ֙le.Me.lekhH4428over Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,all the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יםpe.lish.TimH6430came upוַיַּעֲל֥וּvai.ya.'a.LuH5927to seekלְבַקֵּ֣שׁle.va.KeshH1245Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732;and Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֣עvai.yish.Ma'H8085of it,and went downוַיֵּ֖רֶדvai.Ye.redH3381to the holdהַמְּצוּדָֽה׃ha.me.tzu.DahH4686.

18The Philistinesוּפְלִשְׁתִּ֖יםu.fe.lish.TimH6430also cameבָּ֑אוּBa.'uH935and spreadוַיִּנָּטְשׁ֖וּvai.yi.na.te.ShuH5203themselves in the valleyבְּעֵ֥מֶקbe.'E.mekH6010of Rephaimרְפָאִֽים׃re.fa.'ImH7497.

19And Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732enquiredוַיִּשְׁאַ֨לvai.yish.'AlH7592of the Lordבַּֽיהוָה֙ba.Yah.wehH3068,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Shall I go upהַאֶֽעֱלֶה֙ha.'e.'e.LehH5927to the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430?wilt thou deliverהֲתִתְּנֵ֖םha.ti.te.NemH5414them into mine handבְּיָדִ֑יbe.ya.DiH3027?And the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732,Go upעֲלֵ֔ה'a.LehH5927:for I will doubtlessנָתֹ֥ןna.TonH5414deliverאֶתֵּ֛ן'e.TenH5414the Philistinesהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יםha.pe.lish.TimH6430into thine handבְּיָדֶֽךָ׃be.ya.De.khaH3027.

20And Davidדָוִ֥דda.VidH1732cameוַיָּבֹ֨אvai.ya.Vo'H935to Baal–perazimH1188,and Davidדָּוִד֒da.VidH1732smoteוַיַּכֵּ֣םvai.ya.KemH5221them there, and saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,The Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068hath broken forthפָּרַ֨ץpa.RatzH6555upon mine enemiesאֹיְבַ֛י'o.ye.VaiH341beforeלְפָנַ֖יle.fa.NaiH6440me, as the breachכְּפֶ֣רֶץke.Fe.retzH6556of watersמָ֑יִםMa.yimH4325.Therefore he calledקָרָ֛אka.Ra'H7121the nameשֵֽׁם־shem-H8034of that placeהַמָּק֥וֹםha.ma.KomH4725Baal–perazimH1188.

21And there they leftוַיַּעַזְבוּ־vai.ya.'az.vu-H5800their imagesעֲצַבֵּיהֶ֑ם'a.tza.bei.HemH6091,and Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732and his menוַאֲנָשָֽׁיו׃ פva.'a.na.ShavH582burnedוַיִּשָּׂאֵ֥םvai.yi.sa.'EmH5375them.

22And the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יםpe.lish.TimH6430came upלַֽעֲל֑וֹתla.'a.LotH5927yet againוַיֹּסִ֥פוּvai.yo.Si.fuH3254,and spreadוַיִּנָּֽטְשׁ֖וּvai.yi.na.te.ShuH5203themselves in the valleyבְּעֵ֥מֶקbe.'E.mekH6010of Rephaimרְפָאִֽים׃re.fa.'ImH7497.

23And when Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732enquiredוַיִּשְׁאַ֤לvai.yish.'AlH7592of the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068,he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Thou shalt not go upתַעֲלֶ֑הta.'a.LehH5927; butfetch a compassהָסֵב֙ha.SevH5437behindאַ֣חֲרֵיהֶ֔ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310them, and comeוּבָ֥אתָu.Va.taH935upon them over againstמִמּ֥וּלmi.MulH4136the mulberry treesבְּכָאִֽים׃be.kha.'ImH1057.

24And let it be, when thou hearestכְּֽשָׁמְעֲךָ֞ke.sha.me.'a.khaH8085the soundק֧וֹלKolH6963of a goingצְעָדָ֛הtze.'a.DahH6807in the topsבְּרָאשֵׁ֥יbe.ra.SheiH7218of the mulberry treesהַבְּכָאִ֖יםha.be.kha.'ImH1057,that then thou shalt bestirתֶּחֱרָ֑ץte.che.RatzH2782thyself: for then shall the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068go outיָצָ֤אya.Tza'H3318beforeלְפָנֶ֔יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee, to smiteלְהַכּ֖וֹתle.ha.KotH5221the hostבְּמַחֲנֵ֥הbe.ma.cha.NehH4264of the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּֽים׃fe.lish.TimH6430.

25And Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732did soוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213,as the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֖הוּtzi.Va.huH6680him; and smoteוַיַּךְ֙vai.yaKhH5221the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430from Gebaמִגֶּ֖בַעmi.Ge.va'H1387until thou comeבֹּאֲךָ֥bo.'a.KhaH935to Gazerגָֽזֶר׃ פGa.zerH1507.
