24Who hast keptשָׁמַ֗רְתָּsha.Mar.taH8104with thy servantלְעַבְדְּךָ֙le.'av.de.KhaH5650Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֔י'a.ViH1that thou promisedstדִּבַּ֖רְתָּdi.Bar.taH1696him: thou spakestוַתְּדַבֵּ֥רva.te.da.BerH1696also with thy mouthבְּפִ֛יךָbe.Fi.khaH6310,and hast fulfilledמִלֵּ֖אתָmi.Le.taH4390itwith thine handוּבְיָדְךָ֥u.ve.ya.de.KhaH3027, as it isthis dayכַּיּ֥וֹםkai.YomH3117.

26And now, O Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,let thy wordדְּבָ֣רְךָ֔de.va.rei.khaH1697,I pray thee, be verifiedיֵאָ֤מֶןye.'A.menH539,which thou spakestדִּבַּ֔רְתָּdi.Bar.taH1696unto thy servantלְעַבְדְּךָ֖le.'av.de.KhaH5650Davidדָּוִ֥דda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִֽי׃'a.ViH1.

27But will Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430indeedהַֽאֻמְנָ֔םha.'um.NamH552dwellיֵשֵׁ֥בye.ShevH3427on the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776?behold, the heavenהַשָּׁמַ֜יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064and heavenוּשְׁמֵ֤יu.she.MeiH8064of heavensהַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064cannot containיְכַלְכְּל֔וּךָye.khal.ke.Lu.khaH3557thee; how much lessאַ֕ף'afH637this houseהַבַּ֥יִתha.Ba.yitH1004that I have buildedבָּנִֽיתִי׃ba.Ni.tiH1129?

28Yet have thou respectוּפָנִ֜יתָu.fa.Ni.taH6437unto the prayerתְּפִלַּ֧תte.fi.LatH8605of thy servantעַבְדְּךָ֛'av.de.KhaH5650,and to his supplicationתְּחִנָּת֖וֹte.chi.na.ToH8467,O Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָ֑י'e.lo.HaiH430,to hearkenלִשְׁמֹ֤עַlish.Mo.a'H8085unto the cryהָֽרִנָּה֙ha.ri.NahH7440and to the prayerהַתְּפִלָּ֔הha.te.fi.LahH8605,which thy servantעַבְדְּךָ֛'av.de.KhaH5650prayethמִתְפַּלֵּ֥לmit.pa.LelH6419beforeלְפָנֶ֖יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee to dayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117:
