9And the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068was angryוַיִּתְאַנַּ֥ףvai.yit.'a.NafH599with Solomonבִּשְׁלֹמֹ֑הbish.lo.MohH8010,because his heartלְבָב֗וֹle.va.VoH3824was turnedנָטָ֣הna.TahH5186from the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,which had appearedהַנִּרְאָ֥הha.nir.'AhH7200unto him twiceפַּעֲמָֽיִם׃pa.'a.Ma.yimH6471,

10And had commandedוְצִוָּ֤הve.tzi.VahH6680him concerning this thingהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697,that he should not goH3212afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310otherאֲחֵרִ֑ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430:but he keptשָׁמַ֔רsha.MarH8104not that which the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068commandedצִוָּ֖הtzi.VahH6680.

11Wherefore the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֗הlish.lo.MohH8010,Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not keptשָׁמַ֙רְתָּ֙sha.Mar.taH8104my covenantבְּרִיתִ֣יbe.ri.TiH1285and my statutesוְחֻקֹּתַ֔יve.chu.ko.TaiH2708,which I have commandedצִוִּ֖יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680thee, I will surelyקָרֹ֨עַka.Ro.a'H7167rendאֶקְרַ֤ע'ek.Ra'H7167the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָה֙ha.mam.la.KhahH4467from thee, and will giveוּנְתַתִּ֖יהָu.ne.ta.Ti.haH5414it to thy servantלְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃le.'av.De.khaH5650.

12Notwithstanding in thy daysבְּיָמֶ֙יךָ֙be.ya.Mei.khaH3117I will not doאֶעֱשֶׂ֔נָּה'e.'e.Se.nahH6213it for Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732thy father’sאָבִ֑יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1sake: butI will rendאֶקְרָעֶֽנָּה׃'ek.ra.'E.nahH7167it out of the handמִיַּ֥דmi.YadH3027of thy sonבִּנְךָ֖bin.KhaH1121.

13Howbeitרַ֤קrakH7535I will not rend awayאֶקְרָ֔ע'ek.Ra'H7167all the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָה֙ha.mam.la.KhahH4467; butwill giveאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259tribeשֵׁ֥בֶטShe.vetH7626to thy sonלִבְנֶ֑ךָliv.Ne.khaH1121for Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732my servant’sעַבְדִּ֔י'av.DiH5650sake, and for Jerusalem’sיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389sake which I have chosenבָּחָֽרְתִּי׃ba.Cha.re.tiH977.

14And the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068stirred upוַיָּ֨קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965an adversaryשָׂטָן֙sa.TanH7854unto Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֔הlish.lo.MohH8010,Hadadהֲדַ֣דha.DadH1908the Edomiteהָאֲדֹמִ֑יha.'a.do.MiH130: he wasof the king’sהַמֶּ֛לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428seedמִזֶּ֧רַעmi.Ze.ra'H2233in Edomבֶּאֱדֽוֹם׃be.'e.DomH123.
