26And Jeroboamוְיָרָבְעָם֩ve.ya.ra.ve.'AmH3379the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nebatנְבָ֨טne.VatH5028,an Ephrathiteאֶפְרָתִ֜י'ef.ra.TiH673of Zeredaהַצְּרֵדָ֗הha.tze.re.DahH6868,Solomon’sלִשְׁלֹמֹ֑הlish.lo.MohH8010servantעֶ֖בֶד'E.vedH5650,whose mother’sאִמּוֹ֙'i.MoH517nameוְשֵׁ֤םve.ShemH8034wasZeruahצְרוּעָה֙tze.ru.'AhH6871,a widowאַלְמָנָ֔ה'al.ma.NahH490womanאִשָּׁ֣ה'i.ShahH802,even he lifted upוַיָּ֥רֶםvai.Ya.remH7311hishandיָ֖דyadH3027against the kingבַּמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ba.Me.lekhH4428.

27And this wasthe causeהַדָּבָ֔רha.da.VarH1697that he lifted upהֵרִ֥יםhe.RimH7311hishandיָ֖דyadH3027against the kingבַּמֶּ֑לֶךְba.Me.lekhH4428:Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010builtבָּנָ֣הba.NahH1129Milloהַמִּלּ֔וֹאha.mi.Lo'H4407, andrepairedסָגַ֕רsa.GarH5462the breachesפֶּ֕רֶץPe.retzH6556of the cityעִ֖יר'irH5892of Davidדָּוִ֥דda.VidH1732his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1.

28And the manוְהָאִ֥ישׁve.ha.'IshH376Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֖םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379wasa mighty manגִּבּ֣וֹרgi.BorH1368of valourחָ֑יִלCha.yilH2428:and Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֜הshe.lo.MohH8010seeingוַיַּ֨רְאvai.Yar'H7200the young manהַנַּ֗עַרha.Na.'arH5288that he was industriousעֹשֵׂ֤ה מְלָאכָה֙'o.Seh me.la.KhahH4399 H6213,he made him rulerוַיַּפְקֵ֣דvai.yaf.KedH6485over all the chargeסֵ֖בֶלSe.velH5447of the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Josephיוֹסֵֽף׃ סyo.SefH3130.

29And it came to pass at that timeבָּעֵ֣תba.'EtH6256when Jeroboamוְיָֽרָבְעָ֖םve.ya.ra.ve.'AmH3379went outיָצָ֣אya.Tza'H3318of Jerusalemמִירוּשָׁלִָ֑םmi.ru.sha.LimH3389,that the prophetהַנָּבִ֜יאha.na.Vi'H5030Ahijahאֲחִיָּה֩'a.chi.YahH281the Shiloniteהַשִּׁילֹנִ֨יha.shi.lo.NiH7888foundוַיִּמְצָ֣אvai.yim.Tza'H4672him in the wayבַּדֶּ֗רֶךְba.De.rekhH1870;and he had cladמִתְכַּסֶּה֙mit.ka.SehH3680himself with a newחֲדָשָׁ֔הcha.da.ShahH2319garmentבְּשַׂלְמָ֣הbe.sal.MahH8008;and they twoוּשְׁנֵיהֶ֥םu.she.nei.HemH8147werealone in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ba.sa.DehH7704:

31And he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559to Jeroboamלְיָֽרָבְעָ֔םle.ya.ra.ve.'AmH3379,Takeקַח־kach-H3947thee tenעֲשָׂרָ֣ה'a.sa.RahH6235piecesקְרָעִ֑יםke.ra.'ImH7168:for thus saithאָמַ֨ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,Behold, I will rendקֹרֵ֤עַko.Re.a'H7167the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָה֙ha.mam.la.KhahH4467out of the handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027of Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֔הshe.lo.MohH8010,and will giveוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414tenעֲשָׂרָ֥ה'a.sa.RahH6235tribesהַשְּׁבָטִֽים׃ha.she.va.TimH7626to thee:

32(But he shall have oneהָאֶחָ֖דha.'e.ChadH259tribeוְהַשֵּׁ֥בֶטve.ha.She.vetH7626for my servantעַבְדִּ֣י'av.DiH5650David’sדָוִ֗דda.VidH1732sake, and for Jerusalem’sיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389sake, the cityהָעִיר֙ha.'IrH5892which I have chosenבָּחַ֣רְתִּיba.Char.tiH977out of all the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֥יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478:)
