Context of Acts 11:3
1The apostles and the other believers in Judea heard that Gentiles had also believed the message from God. 2Peter then returned from Caesarea and he arrived in Jerusalem. Some of the Jews there who were believers spoke against him. These Jews thought that all believers should be circumcised. So they said to Peter, ‘You stayed in the house of men who were not circumcised. You even ate meals with them!’ 4Peter then began to explain everything that had happened. He said to them, 5‘I was staying in a house in the city of Joppa. One day, when I was praying, I had a special dream. In this vision, I saw something that came down from heaven. It was like a large piece of cloth. Somebody held it at each of its four corners and let it come down to the ground next to me.

- 1 Corinthians 5:11Now I am telling you this: I was talking about people who say that they are believers. If they say that, but they have sex in a wrong way, do not be friends with them. It is the same if they want many things for themselves. They may worship idols. They may insult people. They may often get drunk. They may deceive people and rob them. If one of your own group does things like that, do not even agree to eat a meal with them.
- 2 John 1:10Someone may come to you and teach you something that is different. Do not receive that person into your house. Do not receive him as a Christian.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 3Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised - In a Jew, this was no small offense; and, as they did not know the reason of St. Peter's conduct, it is no wonder they should call him to account for it, as they considered it to be a positive transgression of the law and custom of the Jews. There is a remarkable addition here in the Codex Bezae, which it will be well to notice. The second verse of the chapter begins thus: - Now Peter had a desire for a considerable…Read the comment
