Context of Acts 18:10
8Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, along with his whole household. Many of the Corinthians, when they heard, believed and were baptized. 9The Lord said to Paul in a night vision, “Don’t be afraid, but keep on speaking and don’t be silent. For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.” 11He stayed there a year and a half, teaching the word of God among them. 12While Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made a united attack against Paul and brought him to the tribunal.

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 9-119-11. Then spake the Lord to Paul ... by a vision, Be not afraid ... no man shall set on thee to hurt thee, &c.--From this it would seem that these signal successes were stirring up the wrath of the unbelieving Jews, and probably the apostle feared being driven by violence, as before, from this scene of such promising labor. He is reassured, however, from above.Read the comment
