Joshua 9:9-15

And they saidH559 unto him, From a veryH3966 farH7350 countryH776 thy servantsH5650 are comeH935 becauseH3588 of the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430: for weH3588 have heardH8085 the fameH8034 of him, and allH3605 that he didH6213 in EgyptH4714,

and allH3605 that he didH6213 to the twoH8147 kingsH4428 of the AmoritesH567, that were beyondH5676 JordanH3383, to SihonH5511 kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809, and to OgH5747 kingH4428 of BashanH1316, whichH834 was at AshtarothH6252.

And our eldersH2205 and allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of our countryH776 spake to usH413 sayingH559, TakeH3947 provision in your handH3027 for the journeyH1870 and go to meetH7125 them, and sayH559 unto them, WeH587 are your servantsH5650: and nowH6258 makeH3772 ye a covenantH1285 with usH413.

This our breadH3899 weH3117 tookH3318 hotH2525 for our provisionH3899 outH3318 of our housesH1004 on the dayH3117 weH3117 cameH1961 forthH3318 to goH3318 unto youH3117; but nowH6258, beholdH2009, it is dryH3001, and is becomeH1961 mouldy:

and theseH428 wineskinsH4997, whichH834 weH834 filledH4390, were newH2319; and, beholdH2009, they be rent: and theseH428 our garmentsH8008 and our shoesH5275 are becomeH1086 oldH1086 by reasonH834 of the veryH3966 longH7230 journeyH1870.

And the menH376 tookH3947 of their provision, and askedH7592 notH3808 counselH6310 at the mouthH6310 of the LORDH3068.

And JoshuaH3091 madeH6213 peaceH7965 with them, and madeH6213 a covenantH1285 with them, to let them liveH2421: and the princesH5387 of the congregationH5712 sware unto them.
