Revised Version 1895
Joshua 23:2-13
that JoshuaH3091 calledH7121 for allH3605 IsraelH3478, for their eldersH2205 and for their headsH7218, and for their judgesH8199 and for their officersH7860, and saidH559 unto them, I am oldH2205 and well stricken in yearsH3117:
and ye have seenH7200 allH3605 that the LORDH3068 your GodH430 hath doneH6213 unto allH3605 theseH428 nationsH1471 becauseH3588 of youH859; for the LORDH3068 your GodH430, he it is that hath foughtH3898 for youH859.
BeholdH7200, I have allottedH5307 unto youH834 theseH428 nationsH1471 that remainH7604, to be an inheritanceH5159 for your tribesH7626, from JordanH3383, with allH3605 the nationsH1471 that I have cutH3772 offH3772, evenH853 unto the greatH1419 seaH3220 towardH4480 the goingH5307 downH5307 of the sunH8121.
And the LORDH3068 your GodH430, he shall thrustH1920 them outH3423 from beforeH6440 youH834, and driveH3423 them from outH3423 of your sightH6440; and ye shall possessH3423 their landH776, as the LORDH3068 your GodH430 spake unto youH834.
Therefore be ye veryH3966 courageousH2388 to keepH8104 and to doH6213 allH3605 that is writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of MosesH4872, that ye turnH5493 notH1115 asideH5493 therefrom to the rightH3225 handH3225 or to the leftH8040;
that ye comeH935 notH3808 among theseH428 nationsH1471, theseH428 that remainH7604 among youH935; neitherH3808 makeH5647 mentionH2142 of the nameH8034 of their godsH430, norH3808 cause to swearH7650 by them, neitherH3808 serveH5647 them, norH3808 bowH7812 downH7812 yourselves unto them:
but cleave unto the LORDH3068 your GodH430, as ye have doneH6213 unto this dayH3117.
For the LORDH3068 hath drivenH3423 outH3423 from beforeH6440 youH859 greatH1419 nationsH1471 and strongH6099: but as for youH859, noH3808 manH376 hath stoodH5975 beforeH6440 youH859 unto this dayH3117.
One manH376 of youH834 shall chaseH7291 a thousandH505: for the LORDH3068 your GodH430, he it is that fighteth for youH834, as he spake unto youH834.
TakeH8104 good heedH8104 therefore unto yourselves, that ye loveH157 the LORDH3068 your GodH430.
Else ifH518 ye doH518 in anyH3588 wise goH935 backH7725, and cleave unto the remnantH7604 of theseH428 nationsH1471, evenH3588 theseH428 that remainH7604 among youH3588, and makeH7725 marriages with them, and goH935 in unto them, and they to youH3588:
knowH3045 for a certaintyH3045 that the LORDH3068 your GodH430 will noH3808 moreH3254 driveH3423 theseH428 nationsH1471 from outH3423 of your sightH5869; but they shall be a snareH4170 and a trapH4170 unto youH834, and a scourge in your sidesH6654, and thornsH6796 in your eyesH5869, untilH5704 ye perishH6 from offH5921 this goodH2896 landH127 whichH834 the LORDH3068 your GodH430 hath givenH5414 youH834.
