18And JoshuaH3091 saidH559, RollH1556 greatH1419 stonesH68 unto the mouthH6310 of the caveH4631, and set menH376 by it for to keepH8104 them:

19but stayH5975 notH408 ye; pursueH7291 afterH310 your enemiesH341, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them notH408 to enterH935 intoH413 their citiesH5892: for the LORDH3068 your GodH430 hath deliveredH5414 them intoH413 your handH3027.

20And it cameH935 to passH935, when JoshuaH3091 and the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 had madeH1961 an endH3615 of slayingH5221 them with a veryH3966 greatH1419 slaughterH4347, tillH5704 they were consumedH3615, and the remnantH8300 which remainedH1961 of them had enteredH935 intoH413 the fenced citiesH5892,

21that allH3605 the peopleH5971 returnedH7725 to the campH4264 to JoshuaH3091 at MakkedahH4719 in peaceH7965: noneH3808 moved his tongueH3956 againstH413 anyH3605 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478.

22Then saidH559 JoshuaH3091, OpenH6605 the mouthH6310 of the caveH4631, and bringH3318 forthH3318 thoseH428 fiveH2568 kingsH4428 unto meH413 outH3318 of the caveH4631.

23And they didH6213 soH3651, and broughtH3318 forthH3318 thoseH428 fiveH2568 kingsH4428 unto him outH3318 of the caveH4631, the kingH4428 of JerusalemH3389, the kingH4428 of HebronH2275, the kingH4428 of JarmuthH3412, the kingH4428 of LachishH3923, the kingH4428 of EglonH5700.

24And it cameH1961 to passH1961, when they broughtH3318 forthH3318 thoseH428 kingsH4428 unto JoshuaH3091, that JoshuaH3091 calledH7121 for allH3605 the menH376 of IsraelH3478, and saidH559 unto the chiefsH7101 of the menH376 of warH4421 whichH428 wentH1980 with him, ComeH1980 nearH7126, putH7760 your feetH7272 uponH5921 the necksH6677 of theseH428 kingsH4428. 25And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto them, FearH3372 notH408, norH408 be dismayedH2865; be strongH2388 and of good courageH2388: for thusH3602 shall the LORDH3068 doH6213 to allH3605 your enemiesH341 againstH413 whomH834 ye fightH3898.

26And afterwardH310 JoshuaH3091 smoteH5221 them, and putH4191 them to deathH4191, and hangedH8518 them on fiveH2568 treesH6086: and they were hangingH8518 uponH5921 the treesH6086 untilH5704 the eveningH6153.

27And it cameH935 to passH935 at the time of the goingH935 downH3381 of the sunH8121, that JoshuaH3091 commandedH6680, and they tookH1961 them downH3381 offH5921 the treesH6086, and castH7993 them intoH413 the caveH4631 whereinH834 they had hiddenH2244 themselvesH5921, and laidH7760 greatH1419 stonesH68 on the mouthH6310 of the caveH4631, unto this veryH6106 dayH3117.

28And JoshuaH3091 tookH3920 MakkedahH4719 on that dayH3117, and smoteH5221 it with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, and the kingH4428 thereof; he utterly destroyedH5221 them and allH3605 the soulsH5315 that were therein, he leftH7604 noneH3808 remainingH7604: and he didH6213 to the kingH4428 of MakkedahH4719 as he had doneH6213 unto the kingH4428 of JerichoH3405.

29And JoshuaH3091 passedH5674 from MakkedahH4719, and allH3605 IsraelH3478 with him, unto LibnahH3841, and foughtH3898 againstH5973 LibnahH3841:

30and the LORDH3068 deliveredH5414 it also, and the kingH4428 thereof, intoH3027 the handH3027 of IsraelH3478; and he smoteH5221 it with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, and allH3605 the soulsH5315 that were therein; he leftH7604 noneH3808 remainingH7604 in it; and he didH6213 unto the kingH4428 thereof as he had doneH6213 unto the kingH4428 of JerichoH3405.

31And JoshuaH3091 passedH5674 from LibnahH3841, and allH3605 IsraelH3478 with him, unto LachishH3923, and encampedH2583 againstH5921 it, and foughtH3898 againstH5921 it:

32and the LORDH3068 deliveredH5414 LachishH3923 intoH3027 the handH3027 of IsraelH3478, and he tookH3920 it on the secondH8145 dayH3117, and smoteH5221 it with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, and allH3605 the soulsH5315 that were therein, accordingH6310 to allH3605 that he had doneH6213 to LibnahH3841.

33Then HoramH2036 kingH4428 of GezerH1507 cameH5927 upH5927 to helpH5826 LachishH3923; and JoshuaH3091 smoteH5221 him and his peopleH5971, untilH5704 he had leftH7604 him none remainingH7604.

34And JoshuaH3091 passedH5674 from LachishH3923, and allH3605 IsraelH3478 with him, unto EglonH5700; and they encampedH2583 againstH5921 it, and foughtH3898 againstH5921 it;

35and they tookH3920 it on that dayH3117, and smoteH5221 it with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, and allH3605 the soulsH5315 that were therein he utterly destroyedH5221 that dayH3117, accordingH6310 to allH3605 that he had doneH6213 to LachishH3923.

36And JoshuaH3091 wentH5927 upH5927 from EglonH5700, and allH3605 IsraelH3478 with him, unto HebronH2275; and they foughtH3898 againstH5921 it:

37and they tookH3920 it, and smoteH5221 it with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, and the kingH4428 thereof, and allH3605 the citiesH5892 thereof, and allH3605 the soulsH5315 that were therein; he leftH7604 noneH3808 remainingH7604, accordingH6310 to allH3605 that he had doneH6213 to EglonH5700; but he utterly destroyedH5221 it, and allH3605 the soulsH5315 that were therein.

38And JoshuaH3091 returnedH7725, and allH3605 IsraelH3478 with him, to DebirH1688; and foughtH3898 againstH5921 it:

39and he tookH3920 it, and the kingH4428 thereof, and allH3605 the citiesH5892 thereof; and they smoteH5221 them with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, and utterly destroyedH5221 allH3605 the soulsH5315 that were therein; he leftH7604 noneH3808 remainingH7604: as he had doneH6213 to HebronH2275, soH3651 he didH6213 to DebirH1688, and to the kingH4428 thereof; as he had doneH6213 also to LibnahH3841, and to the kingH4428 thereof.

40SoH3808 JoshuaH3091 smoteH5221 allH3605 the landH776, the hillH2022 countryH2022, and the SouthH5045, and the lowlandH8219, and the slopesH794, and allH3605 their kingsH4428; he leftH7604 noneH3808 remainingH7604: but he utterly destroyedH5221 allH3605 that breathedH5397, as the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, commandedH6680.
