Revised Version 1895
Chronicles 9:19-31
And ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of KoreH6981, the sonH1121 of EbiasaphH43, the sonH1121 of KorahH7141, and his brethrenH251, of his father’sH1 houseH1004, the KorahitesH7145, were over the workH4399 of the serviceH5656, keepersH8104 of the gates of the tabernacleH168: and their fathersH1 had been over the campH4264 of the LORDH3068, keepersH8104 of the entryH3996;
And PhinehasH6372 the sonH1121 of EleazarH499 was rulerH5057 over them in time past, and the LORDH3068 was with him.
ZechariahH2148 the sonH1121 of MeshelemiahH4920 was porter of the doorH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150.
AllH3605 theseH1992 whichH3245 were chosenH1305 to be porters in the gates were twoH8147 hundredH3967 and twelveH6240. TheseH1992 were reckoned by genealogyH3187 in their villages, whom DavidH1732 and SamuelH8050 the seer did ordain in their setH3245 office.
SoH5921 they and their childrenH1121 had the oversight of the gatesH8179 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, evenH5921 the houseH1004 of the tabernacleH168, by wards.
On the fourH702 sidesH7307 were the porters, toward the eastH4217, westH3220, northH6828, and southH5045.
And their brethrenH251, and their villages, were to comeH935 in everyH3117 sevenH7651 daysH3117 from time to time to be with them:
for the fourH702 chief porters, who were LevitesH3881, were in a set office, and were over the chambersH3957 and over the treasuriesH214 in the houseH1004 of GodH430.
And they lodged roundH5439 aboutH5439 the houseH1004 of GodH430, becauseH3588 the chargeH4931 thereof was uponH5921 them, and to them pertained the openingH4669 thereof morningH1242 by morningH1242.
And certain of them had chargeH5921 of the vesselsH3627 of serviceH5656; for by tale were they broughtH935 in and by tale were they takenH3318 outH3318.
SomeH1992 of them also were appointedH4487 over the furnitureH3627, and over allH3605 the vesselsH3627 of the sanctuaryH6944, and over the fineH5560 flourH5560, and the wineH3196, and the oilH8081, and the frankincenseH3828, and the spicesH1314:
And someH4480 of the sonsH1121 of the priestsH3548 preparedH7543 the confection of the spicesH1314.
And MattithiahH4993, one of the LevitesH3881, who was the firstbornH1060 of ShallumH7967 the KorahiteH7145, had the set office over the things that were bakedH2281 in pansH2281.
