Chronicles 12:8-18

And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David to the hold in the wilderness, mighty menH1121 of valour, menH1121 trained for war, that could handle shield and spear; whoseH1121 faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;

Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third;

Mishmannah the fourth; Jeremiah the fifth;

Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh;

Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth;

Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.

These of the sons of Gad were captains of the host: he that was least was equal to an hundred, and the greatest to a thousand.

TheseH428 are they that went over Jordan in the firstH259 month, when it had overflown allH259 its banks; and they put to flight allH259 them of the valleys, both towardH259 the east, and towardH259 the west.

And there cameH4217 of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.

And DavidH1732 wentH935 outH4480 to meet them, and answeredH935 and said unto them, IfH1121 ye be comeH935 peaceably unto meH4480 to help meH4480, mineH4480 heart shall be knit unto youH5704: but ifH1121 ye be comeH935 to betray meH4480 to mineH4480 adversaries, seeing there is noH4480 wrong in mineH4480 hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.

Then the spirit cameH935 uponH5921 Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he saidH559, Thine are weH518, DavidH1732, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peaceH7965, peaceH7965 be unto thee, and peaceH7965 be to thine helpersH5826; for thy GodH430 helpeth thee. Then DavidH1732 receivedH935 them, and madeH1961 them captains of the band.
