Revised Literal Translation

Psalms 27:1-5

1YhwhH3068 is my lightH216 and my salvationH3468; whom shall I fearH3372? YhwhH3068 is the strengthH4581 of my lifeH2416; of whom shall I be afraidH6342?

2When the wickedH7489, even mine enemiesH6862 and my foesH341, cameH7126 upon me to eat upH398 my fleshH1320, they stumbledH3782 and fellH5307.1

3Though an armyH4264 should encampH2583 against me, my heartH3820 shall not fearH3372: though warH4421 should riseH6965 against me, in this will I be confidentH982.

4OneH259 thing have I desiredH7592 of YhwhH3068, that will I seekH1245 after; that I may dwellH3427 in the houseH1004 of YhwhH3068 all the daysH3117 of my lifeH2416, to beholdH2372 the beautyH5278 of YhwhH3068, and to enquireH1239 in his templeH1964.2

5For in the timeH3117 of troubleH7451 he shall hideH6845 me in his pavilionH5520: in the secretH5643 of his tabernacleH168 shall he hideH5641 me; he shall set me upH7311 upon a rockH6697.
