Context of Acts 2:45
43Reverential awe came over everyone, and many wonders and miraculous signs came about by the apostles. 44All who believed were together and held everything in common, and they began selling their property and possessions and distributing the proceeds to everyone, as anyone had need. 46Every day they continued to gather together by common consent in the temple courts, breaking bread from house to house, sharing their food with glad and humble hearts, 47praising God and having the good will of all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number every day those who were being saved.

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 42-47Verses 42-47 In these verses we have the history of the truly primitive church, of the first days of it; its state of infancy indeed, but, like that, the state of its greatest innocence. They kept close to holy ordinances, and abounded in piety and devotion; for Christianity, when admitted in the power of it, will dispose the soul to communion with God in all those ways wherein he has appointed us to meet him, and has promised to meet us. The difficulty can only be removed by supposing that they already employed sprinkling, or baptized in houses in large vessels.
