1And in the secondשְׁתַּ֗יִםshe.Ta.yimH8147yearוּבִשְׁנַ֣תu.vish.NatH8141of the reignלְמַלְכוּת֙le.mal.KhutH4438of Nebuchadnezzarנְבֻֽכַדְנֶצַּ֔רne.vu.khad.ne.TzarH5019Nebuchadnezzarנְבֻֽכַדְנֶצַּ֖רne.vu.khad.ne.TzarH5019dreamedחָלַ֥םcha.LamH2492dreamsחֲלֹמ֑וֹתcha.lo.MotH2472,wherewith his spiritרוּח֔וֹru.ChoH7307was troubledוַתִּתְפָּ֣עֶםva.tit.Pa.'emH6470,and his sleepוּשְׁנָת֖וֹu.she.na.ToH8142brakeנִהְיְתָ֥הnih.ye.TahH1961from him.

2Then the kingהַ֠מֶּלֶךְHa.Me.lekhH4428commandedוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to callלִקְרֹ֨אlik.Ro'H7121the magiciansלַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֜יםla.char.tu.MimH2748,and the astrologersוְלָֽאַשָּׁפִ֗יםve.la.'a.sha.FimH825,and the sorcerersוְלַֽמְכַשְּׁפִים֙ve.lam.kha.she.FimH3784,and the Chaldeansוְלַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםve.la.kas.DimH3778,for to shewלְהַגִּ֥ידle.ha.GidH5046the kingלַמֶּ֖לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428his dreamsחֲלֹמֹתָ֑יוcha.lo.mo.TavH2472.So they cameוַיָּבֹ֕אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935and stoodוַיַּֽעַמְד֖וּvai.ya.'am.DuH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428.

3And the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428saidוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, I have dreamedחָלָ֑מְתִּיcha.La.me.tiH2492a dreamחֲל֣וֹםcha.LomH2472,and my spiritרוּחִ֔יru.ChiH7307was troubledוַתִּפָּ֣עֶםva.ti.Pa.'emH6470to knowלָדַ֖עַתla.Da.'atH3045the dreamהַחֲלֽוֹם׃ha.cha.LomH2472.

4Then spakeוַֽיְדַבְּר֧וּvay.da.be.RuH1696the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֛יםha.kas.DimH3778to the kingלַמֶּ֖לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428in Syriackאֲרָמִ֑ית'a.ra.MitH762,O kingמַלְכָּא֙mal.Ka'H4430,liveחֱיִ֔יche.YiH2418for everלְעָלְמִ֣יןle.'al.MinH5957:tellאֱמַ֥ר'e.MarH560thy servantsלְעַבְדָ֖ךְle.'av.da.yikhH5649the dreamחֶלְמָ֛אchel.Ma'H2493,and we will shewנְחַוֵּֽא׃ne.cha.Ve'H2324the interpretationוּפִשְׁרָ֥אu.fish.Ra'H6591.

5The kingמַלְכָּא֙mal.Ka'H4430answeredעָנֵ֤ה'a.NehH6032and saidוְאָמַ֣רve.'a.MarH560to the Chaldeansלְכַשְׂדָּאֵ֔יle.khas.da.'eiH3779,The thingמִלְּתָ֖אmi.le.Ta'H4406is goneאַזְדָּ֑א'az.Da'H230from meמִנִּ֣יmi.NiH4481:ifהֵ֣ןhenH2006ye will notלָ֤אla'H3809make knownתְהֽוֹדְעוּנַּ֙נִי֙te.hod.'u.Na.niH3046unto me the dreamחֶלְמָ֣אchel.Ma'H2493,with the interpretationוּפִשְׁרֵ֔הּu.fish.RehH6591thereof, ye shall be cutתִּתְעַבְד֔וּןtit.'av.DunH5648in piecesהַדָּמִין֙ha.da.MinH1917,and your housesוּבָתֵּיכ֖וֹןu.va.tei.KhonH1005shall be madeיִתְּשָׂמֽוּן׃yi.te.sa.MunH7761a dunghillנְוָלִ֥יne.va.LiH5122.

6But ifH2006ye shewתְּֽהַחֲוֹ֔ןte.ha.cha.VonH2324the dreamחֶלְמָ֤אchel.Ma'H2493,and the interpretationוּפִשְׁרֵהּ֙u.fish.RehH6591thereof, ye shall receiveתְּקַבְּל֖וּןte.ka.be.LunH6902ofמִן־min-H4481meקֳדָמָ֑יko.da.MaiH6925giftsמַתְּנָ֤ןma.te.NanH4978and rewardsוּנְבִזְבָּה֙u.ne.viz.BahH5023and greatשַׂגִּ֔יאsa.Gi'H7690honourוִיקָ֣רvi.KarH3367:thereforeH3861shewהַחֲוֹֽנִי׃ha.cha.Vo.niH2324me the dreamחֶלְמָ֥אchel.Ma'H2493,and the interpretationוּפִשְׁרֵ֖הּu.fish.RehH6591thereof.

7They answeredעֲנ֥וֹa.NoH6032againתִנְיָנ֖וּתtin.ya.NutH8579and saidוְאָמְרִ֑יןve.'a.me.RinH560,Let the kingמַלְכָּ֕אmal.Ka'H4430tellיֵאמַ֥רye.MarH560his servantsלְעַבְד֖וֹהִיle.'av.Do.hiH5649the dreamחֶלְמָ֛אchel.Ma'H2493,and we will shewנְהַחֲוֵֽה׃ne.ha.cha.VehH2324the interpretationוּפִשְׁרָ֥הu.fish.Rah'H6591of it.

8The kingמַלְכָּא֙mal.Ka'H4430answeredעָנֵ֤ה'a.NehH6032and saidוְאָמַ֔רve.'a.MarH560,Iאֲנָ֔ה'a.NahH576knowיָדַ֣עya.Da'H3046ofמִן־min-H4481certaintyיַצִּיב֙ya.TzivH3330that yeאַנְתּ֣וּן'an.TunH608would gainזָבְנִ֑יןza.ve.NinH2084the timeעִדָּנָ֖א'i.da.Na'H5732,becauseקֳבֵל֙ko.VelH3606 H6903ye seeחֲזֵית֔וֹןcha.zei.TonH2370the thingמִלְּתָֽא׃mi.le.Ta'H4406is goneאַזְדָּ֖א'az.Da'H230fromמִנִּ֥יmi.NiH4481me.

9But ifH2006ye will notלָ֨אla'H3809make knownתְהֽוֹדְעֻנַּ֜נִיte.hod.'u.Na.niH3046unto me the dreamחֶלְמָא֩chel.Ma'H2493, there is butoneחֲדָה־ הִ֣יאcha.dah- hi'H2298 H1932decreeדָֽתְכ֗וֹןda.te.KhonH1882for you: for ye have preparedהִזְדְּמִנְתּוּן֙haz.min.tunH2164lyingכִדְבָ֤הkhid.VahH3538and corruptוּשְׁחִיתָה֙u.she.chi.TahH7844wordsוּמִלָּ֨הu.mi.LahH4406to speakלְמֵאמַ֣רle.me.MarH560beforeקָֽדָמַ֔יka.da.MaiH6925me, tillעַ֛ד'adH5705the timeעִדָּנָ֖א'i.da.Na'H5732be changedיִשְׁתַּנֵּ֑אyish.ta.Ne'H8133:thereforeH3861tellאֱמַ֣רוּ'e.Ma.ruH560me the dreamחֶלְמָא֙chel.Ma'H2493,and I shall knowוְֽאִנְדַּ֕עve.'in.Da'H3046thatH1768ye can shewתְּהַחֲוֻנַּֽנִי׃te.ha.cha.vu.Na.niH2324me the interpretationפִשְׁרֵ֖הּfish.RehH6591thereof.

10The Chaldeansכַשְׂדָּאֵ֤יkhas.da.iH3779answeredעֲנ֨וֹa.NoH6032beforeקֳדָם־ko.dom-H6925the kingמַלְכָּא֙mal.Ka'H4430,and saidוְאָ֣מְרִ֔יןve.'A.me.RinH560,There isאִיתַ֤י'i.TaiH383notלָֽא־la'-H3809a manאֲנָשׁ֙'a.NashH606uponעַל־'al-H5922the earthיַבֶּשְׁתָּ֔אya.besh.Ta'H3007that canיוּכַ֖לyu.KhalH3202shewלְהַחֲוָיָ֑הle.ha.cha.va.YahH2324the king’sמַלְכָּ֔אmal.Ka'H4430matterמִלַּ֣תmi.LatH4406:thereforeקֳבֵ֗לko.VelH1768 H6903there isnoלָ֣אla'H3809kingמֶ֙לֶךְ֙Me.lekhH4430,lordרַ֣בravH7229,nor rulerוְשַׁלִּ֔יטve.sha.LitH7990, thataskedשְׁאֵ֔לshe.'ElH7593suchכִדְנָה֙khid.NahH1836thingsמִלָּ֤הmi.LahH4406at anyH3606magicianחַרְטֹּ֖םchart.TomH2749,or astrologerוְאָשַׁ֥ףve.'a.ShafH826,or Chaldeanוְכַשְׂדָּֽי׃ve.khas.DaiH3779.

11And it isa rareיַקִּירָ֔הya.ki.RahH3358thingוּמִלְּתָ֨אu.mi.le.Ta'H4406that the kingמַלְכָּ֤הmal.Kah'H4430requirethשָׁאֵל֙sha.'ElH7593,and there isאִיתַ֔י'i.TaiH383noneלָ֣אla'H3809otherוְאָחֳרָן֙ve.'o.cho.RanH321that can shewיְחַוִּנַּ֖הּye.chav.vi.NahH2324it beforeקֳדָ֣םko.DamH6925the kingמַלְכָּ֑אmal.Ka'H4430,exceptלָהֵ֣ןla.HenH3861the godsאֱלָהִ֔ין'e.la.HinH426,whose dwellingמְדָ֣רְה֔וֹןme.Da.re.HonH4070isאִיתֽוֹהִי׃'i.To.hiH383notלָ֥אla'H3809withעִם־'im-H5974fleshבִּשְׂרָ֖אbis.Ra'H1321.

12Forקֳבֵ֣לko.VelH6903thisדְּנָ֔הde.NahH1836causeH3606the kingמַלְכָּ֕אmal.Ka'H4430was angryבְּנַ֖סbe.NasH1149and veryשַׂגִּ֑יאsa.Gi'H7690furiousוּקְצַ֣ףu.ke.TzafH7108,and commandedוַאֲמַר֙va.'a.MarH560to destroyלְה֣וֹבָדָ֔הle.Hoa.DahH7allH3606the wiseחַכִּימֵ֥יcha.ki.MeiH2445menof Babylonבָבֶֽל׃va.VelH895.

13And the decreeוְדָתָ֣אve.da.Ta'H1882went forthנֶפְקַ֔תnef.KatH5312that the wiseוְחַכִּֽימַיָּ֖אve.cha.ki.mai.Ya'H2445menshould be slainמִֽתְקַטְּלִ֑יןmit.ka.te.LinH6992;and they soughtוּבְע֛וֹu.ve.'OH1156Danielדָּנִיֵּ֥אלda.ni.YelH1841and his fellowsוְחַבְר֖וֹהִיve.chav.Ro.hiH2269to be slainלְהִתְקְטָלָֽה׃ פle.hit.ke.ta.LahH6992.
