11Then saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Danielדָּנִיֵּ֖אלda.ni.YelH1840to Melzarהַמֶּלְצַ֑רha.mel.TzarH4453,whom the princeשַׂ֣רsarH8269of the eunuchsהַסָּֽרִיסִ֔יםha.sa.ri.SimH5631had setמִנָּה֙mi.NahH4487over Danielדָּנִיֵּ֣אלda.ni.YelH1840,Hananiahחֲנַנְיָ֔הcha.nan.YahH2608,Mishaelמִֽישָׁאֵ֖לmi.sha.'ElH4332,and Azariahוַעֲזַרְיָֽה׃va.'a.zar.YahH5838,

12Proveנַס־nas-H5254thy servantsעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,I beseech thee, tenעֲשָׂרָ֑ה'a.sa.RahH6235daysיָמִ֣יםya.MimH3117;and let them giveוְיִתְּנוּ־ve.yi.te.nu-H5414us pulseהַזֵּרֹעִ֛יםha.ze.ro.'ImH2235to eatוְנֹאכְלָ֖הve.no.khe.LahH398,and waterוּמַ֥יִםu.Ma.yimH4325to drinkוְנִשְׁתֶּֽה׃ve.nish.TehH8354.

13Then let our countenancesמַרְאֵ֔ינוּmar.'Ei.nuH4758be looked uponוְיֵרָא֤וּve.ye.ra.'UH7200beforeלְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙le.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee, and the countenanceוּמַרְאֵה֙u.mar.'EhH4758of the childrenהַיְלָדִ֔יםhay.la.DimH3206that eatהָאֹ֣כְלִ֔יםha.'O.khe.LimH398of the portionH6598of the king’sהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428meatH6598:and as thou seestתִּרְאֵ֔הtir.'EhH7200,dealעֲשֵׂ֖ה'a.SehH6213with thy servantsעֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃'a.va.Dei.khaH5650.

14So he consentedוַיִּשְׁמַ֥עvai.yish.Ma'H8085to them in this matterלַדָּבָ֣רla.da.VarH1697,and provedוַיְנַסֵּ֖םvay.na.SemH5254them tenעֲשָׂרָֽה׃'a.sa.RahH6235daysיָמִ֥יםya.MimH3117.

15And at the endוּמִקְצָת֙u.mik.TzatH7117of tenעֲשָׂרָ֔ה'a.sa.RahH6235daysיָמִ֣יםya.MimH3117their countenancesמַרְאֵיהֶם֙mar.'ei.HemH4758appearedנִרְאָ֤הnir.'AhH7200fairerט֔וֹבTovH2896and fatterוּבְרִיאֵ֖יu.ve.ri.'EiH1277in fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320than all the childrenהַיְלָדִ֔יםhay.la.DimH3206which did eatהָאֹ֣כְלִ֔יםha.'O.khe.LimH398the portionH6598of the king’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428meatH6598.

16Thus Melzarהַמֶּלְצַ֗רha.mel.TzarH4453took awayנֹשֵׂא֙no.Se'H5375the portion of their meatפַּתְבָּגָ֔םpat.ba.GamH6598,and the wineוְיֵ֖יןve.YeinH3196that they should drinkמִשְׁתֵּיהֶ֑םmish.tei.HemH4960;and gaveוְנֹתֵ֥ןve.no.TenH5414them pulseזֵרְעֹנִֽים׃ze.re.'o.NimH2235.
